There's a place that I'm pretty sure is going to give me a job offer, but it doesn't pay much. It pays about $38,000 and I'd be in Boston. I'm really tempted to take the job if they offer it to me, but I think it'd just be barely enough for me to survive on.
Where I really want to end up is New Zealand. I've been reading about the culture, weather, cost of living, and nature stuff there and it really sounds like a great place. If I don't have any job offers in the next week, I'm tempted to sell everything I own to move there and do some kind of menial work until I find a real job. I've been applying to a lot of jobs there anyway, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Is this a terrible idea?
You can barely survive in Boston for way less than $38,000.

If they offer me the job I'm going to take it. It's at least 10-15,000 lower than what the other entry-level jobs I've been applying for pay. I'd think having three university-level degrees would get me more than 38,000 a year. At this point, though, I don't have a lot of options...

Sometimes being too educated can be a curse on job search efforts. They think you might want too much money. Overqualified can mean unemployable. Sad but true. Try dumbing down your resume. Leave off a qualification.
I have to try and rein in my inner pervert in mixed company, though. Speaking of that, I might actually make a Tinder profile. I need a bio that explains that, while I'm guilty of being a bit of a romantic idealist and probably don't really fit in with the Tinder crowd, I'd also sometimes absolutely love to pierce our tongues with a Masterlock and throw away the key, you know what I mean?
