Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Skip, much love to you, my man. Sorry to hear about your struggles. That's a really really tough situation. Hang in there. Try to keep your head level and talk to people whose council you trust as much as you can. Your path will become clear. It's so important not to feel alone though, which I'm hearing that it sounds like you do. I know im just a weird Internet dude, but if you need to reach out, please do. Sometimes it helps to have people that have some distance from your regular life. I know you're a guy that has friends, use them. It sounds like you need them. And if you need to reach out to distant Internet friends, there's more than a few of us here.
In my own personal rant, after years of financial struggle and crippling stress in my work life, I finally landed a pretty sweet gig driving a cab a few months back. It was fun and low stress and the money was actually pretty good. Enough to finally feel like I was keeping my head above water and making some progress even in life. just when I'm getting caught up and looking at some money in my savings account for the first time in years, the city completely deregulates the taxi industry to allow uber to operate. Totally pulls the rug out from under the whole industry. Overnight my earnings are cut by around 35%, if not more. I'm totally fucked. The sad part is that their drivers make about the same as I do now, on top of having to buy and maintain a fairly new car. And their rates end up being just barely cheaper most of the time and way more some of the time. I know more than anyone that the industry needed some change, but as usual, the short end of the stick goes to the working people. Overnight they transformed the whole thing from a decent living wage job to a shitty deal for drivers. It's like a part time thing for college kids or something now. And I can barely keep up, once again. I'm at the end of my rope.

Skip...that was really sad to read man...i hope there is some way to resolve the issues.
i have bystander experience, as my brother got divorced from his wife about 6 months ago, and they have a little girl. Its a really hard thing to go through, and his still going through it. But i think in the long run that kid is better off not being in a house thats always on the knifes edge, i'm already seeing her change her mood and being more loose and easy with whats going on around her.
He also has the same attachment to his daughter, and that was something he was really stressed about...but the thing is, eventhough he sees her a little less, he says the quality of the time is much better, as the baggage of his wife is not there.
By no means is it a great outcome or a happy ending...i think its the best of a few shit scenario's.
but truley hope your relationship doesnt come to this

Skip, love and hugs man.
You're a good dude. You're doing your best.
But to Echo Mrs. Aen and Stomach (along with all the other rad stuff they and everyone else has said), don't either of you feel like you need to go it alone. Be there for each other and be explicit that you want to try and make it work, but that you need her to come to the table with everything she's got as well.
Sounds lame, but couples counselling? Can work if all parties really want it to.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Thanks so much for the kind words everybody, it truly means alot to me.
Last night wasn't bad, there was no arguing because we both were just flat out exhausted. But the stress is eating me alive, I woke up atleast 4 times last night and over all got less than 3 hours sleep, for the third night in a row. I'm so exhausted I can't even respond with a multi-quote. But seriously thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

I've really had about enough of the douche twat that works in the shipping area right outside my office. This fuckstick constantly complains about EVERY GOD DAMN THING he has to do for his job. I don't think I've ever heard him say anything positive. The shipping areas printer is located in my office and his guy is always walking in & out, opening my office door. Today isn't a particularly warm day so I closed it...5 minutes later, he opens it. So I asked him to keep it closed. He comes back with "What, are you cold?!"
YEAH, DICK. I'M FUCKING COLD AND I DON'T WANT MY OFFICE DOOR OPEN. FUCK.

Luxuriate in the warmth of my comparatively petty complaint.
So, I'm stuck working late trying to finish reviewing a document that is 37 pages of straight up GIBBERISH and which the author is just itching for a chance to shelve because I held everything up so long that now eveaarthing is useless, and for the last three hours the furshlugginger Comcast Corporation Death Star next door has been holding a happy hour blasting an unholy combination of played-to-death-core 7ts disco and Jingle Ball tweenpop and it is literally crushing my SKULL. Uppp--DJ just spoke, and it's as I feared--it's DJ Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate + 8. Hell's Gates have been phlung open in Philly.
Back to you.
Edit. Later. Philly cops just came ond hauled DJ Jon Gosselin to the hoosegow. I wouldn't want to be a fly on the jailhouse wall tonight.

I fucking hate FedEx so much. I ordered a TimeLine last week, feeling like it'd be nice to buy a new pedal and support a company I like and yadda yadda. I find out they ship FedEx, well shit. Whatever. No big deal right? Well turns out they require a signature on delivery, ya know, don't want people making off with my $450 delay. OK. Well yesterday I had to work until 2, they tried to drop it off at 11. Ugh, oh well. I tried to call and ask when I could pick it up, they said "24-28 hours". Well shit. I'm gonna be home then, may as well let them bring it to me. I didn't work until 2 today, so I figured it wouldn't be an issue. Well they decided to drop it off at 3:30 today. I tried to set it up so it can go to my workplace where there will definitely be someone to sign for it. Well fucking a. It keeps telling me I have to register. Which I did. I tried like 4 times before I decided it was worthless to stooo to their level. I work at 4 tomorrow and I'm gonna reschedule my doctor appointment tomorrow to make sure I'm here to get it. If not I will probably go postal (pun intended). I just want a top of the line digital delay ILF. I feel like it's not that much to ask for.

It's not to much to want premium gear, it is too much to expect fedex to do anything in a normal or helpful way.
Last week we had a skid shipping in on fedex freight from CN to a customer in Texas. Fedex broke our skid, then shipped 4 of 5 boxes to NY and lost the 5th. When asked why they shipped to NY they said because they found our names on the paperwork and did some research, in all of that research they seemed to have no ability to call us and ask where the stuff was actually going. They also didn't communicate the screwed up the skid and lost stuff till we called to dig around.
Fedex is worthless,
I do believe part of it is because they hire some private contractors and not all fedex people are actually fedex people.
I am so excited to rant about fedex

So my now ex fiancé who wasn't an ex last week was in between jobs. She has two kids and was having trouble with bills. Me, loving the fuck out of her, sold my Gibson lespaul flame top, and gave her the money. Because, you know, you do things for the people you love. Esp the person you have wedding plans with. She got an awesome job on sat making 300$ a night And than left me on Monday. Yeaaaa!

Ugh. That sucks.
She's rich now, time to get that trophy husband. She deserves better now because she is better now, time to reward herself. Total ego trip.
Like, when you treat someone so nice that they start to believe they're better than you. Somehow it's always surprising when I realize someone thinks life is all about getting higher on the social ladder.
Or when a girl doesn't like herself and thinks there must be something wrong with anyone who does. Whenever she builds herself up a little, she sheds all the old relationships.
Not that I know anything about you or her or the situation, it just strikes a chord with my own experience I guess.
