Be a man and crank your amp how it should be. that's GOD coming down and telling you to stop being a twat playing in piddles the pussmode.

ok...ok...

let me rephrase my post...

So the speaker problem I thought I had turns out to being an amp problem! I plugged in my marshall and didn't get the crackle or the loud hum...put the matamp in and there came the crackle and hum...then I switched it to full power and it was fine. So i ve now narrowed down the issue the the half power mode of the matamp.

Fuckin Yeah...no excuse to use half power...cause thats for Pussy's!!!

Also...because i'm not a Pussy...i also got this noise making machine the other day...an optical theramin...i had a small test run with it last night, and ran it through my board, added some fuzz to it and delay etc...fucking rediculous noises...

I need details on this theremin. Our synth guy has a Moog theremini and that thing rules but its pretty finicky. You can't have anything closer than four feet from it or it will go crazy. Not exactly ideal for smaller stages that we usually play on.

it's the marketing shtick alone.

i got the first album. it was decent blue oyster cult worship but with less heavy guitars than even BOC uses. That there is what was more annoying to me. It's like they took a 112 combo and turned the volume on 1, or maybe 2... just enough so the mic can pick up the guitars... and then they mixed them lower in the mix on purpose.

fuck ghost... second album I listened to tracks... sounds like retardo circus music.

the are the slipknot for retro'rock' ... I use 'rock' very loosely.

I'm with SLK.
Kinda cool they were doing the whole Witchcraft-meets-rock-opera thing, but then it didn't go anywhere and you can't really have more than one album of that.
Rad costuming and RDs are about where it begins and ends for me, anyway.

Thought I was dead broke and realized I had some extra cash in my paypal account so I ordered a shitload of pickups. I got a Nazgul / Sentient set on the way as well as a BLKTRI Torch. I'm not sure which guitars I wanna put them in. I intended to put the Duncans in my PRS because I can't stand the stock PRS pickups in it, but I'm not sure what to do about the Torch. Any of you guys have experience with them?

Nope.

Blue Oyster Cult are pretty underrated, and the fact that Ghost is popular certainly speaks to that.

Don't get me wrong as I love to crank my amps, but running at lower volumes is good for recording at home. I find when I crank my amp the walls of the house shake and things rattle. Which spills into the recording mic. So there is a practical use for an amps half power mode. But when playing for the sake of playing I say crank that fucker. :thumb:

Ghost is awful and Blue Oyster Cult is amazing.

I record everything at full concert level volume. It sounds far better. So hell with saving your good china from falling from the cabinets!
