Just checking out the Ryan Adams covers of Taylor Swift's "1989" because it's Monday morning and I'm drinking coffee.

I'll be honest, I'm enjoying it. No fuzz but it's all good.

This album is way better than it had any right to be. But the majority of Ryan's music is incredible... now that he has a sense of humour I respect him even more.

"Blank Space" in particular is great.

my wife is all over the place with music. she's a huge ryan adams fan. huge weezer fan. probably her two favorite artists. that said, she really enjoys 1989 (taylor version) so i've listened to it a lot.

here's what i can say after mutiple listens of ryan adams covers. composition on all the tracks is really refreshing/great. loving them. i think that blank space and bad blood and welcome to new york are strong as taylor swift pop anthems. bad blood and black space in particular have parts where taylor really belts it out and in those moments they're so strong that i find her versions preferential. most of the other tracks i find ryan adams the much stronger but i actually didn't like the production of a lot of the taylor swift versions because they felt really empty so all the reverb and acoustic guitar and strings and such on the ryan adams versions is fucking ace.
