Nifty. First two thoughts: they still need to pay royalties on that first riff, and does that initial drum fill seem super out of place to anyone else?
Also I love it.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'm still torn about spending money I don't really have to go see a band that isn't really what they were. I need the cash for Mike's HM2.
But it's Sabbath.

Off to find the new Uncle

If it wasn't mid week I would be all about that show.

Yeah that one and Acid King are both midweek. At this point I've dedicated decades and ounces of my lung capacity to both bands, though, so they're essentially 'can't miss' at this point.

I spent quite a number of years not giving half a shit about Acid King. Then I saw them by chance at a festival and HOLY FUCK. Now I like Acid King alot

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
i paid over 30 to go see Iron Maiden perform A Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album along with a slew of their greatest hits.
it was well worth the money, drive to atlanta, 2 night stay at a hotel.
Alice Cooper opened.
150 to see Black Sabbath honestly.. I thought that is how much they would get anywhere. I'm literally not shocked in the least.
but I've never cared about seeing sabbath. I think Dio sabbath was better than Ozzy sabbath and I rather listen to Rainbow over Sabbath.
fight me.

I've missed so many pages in this thread recently. There's no way I can catch up.
Dropping in to say I had a fucking gold plated titties jam session with the drummer from the local band CFA and his friend last night. Threw down some Kyuss/Fu Manchu hybrid type riffs and it was fucking awesome. Hands down the most fun & productive jam session I've had since Flux. Planning on doing it again next week. I could see this going somewhere!

Fix'd

Seriously though why aren't they playing in the UK/England?
Even if I wanted to see them (which without Bill I don't) I couldn't anyway

Rad! Reno's just about the hardest hitter in the world. That must've been a blast. I hope we get to hear something soon!
In other news, The new Windhand is boring me to tears. Quite a few 'doom' bands are plagued by The Doom Problem but they've got it real bad when it comes to the recorded output (they're more interesting live on stage). In case you don't know what I'm talking about, I mean to say they're big, they're loud, they're heavy, they got tone BUT, they just don't rock. I WANNA ROCK
