Three day weekend. Yesterday, I worked until 8:30 AM, went home, slept until 12:30. Girlfriend and I drove an hour to Oswego. We went to a fantastic little lakeside seafood joint and had fish and scallops. Went to a skating rink with no air conditioning to watch an indie wrestling show, her first. Met my favorite tag team, the Young Bucks, talked for a bit, scored some shirts, and watched a fantastic wrestling show. Slept like a baby. Scored some Lego sets on clearance today. Played punk rock guitar for an hour. She gets off early, so we are going to an Ant-Man matinee. Off tomorrow, too. Just a wonderful time.

For the past four days I've been unable to pretty much hear out of my left ear...wax build up. Been using drops and flushing and huge chunks of wax finally came out a couple minutes ago. I can hear!! :!!!: time to go blast 100 tube watts to celebrate

Someone reported to the police that they saw a lion in Milwaukee on Monday and social media is blowing up with ironically serious reactions.

So after weeks of directionless meandering with the band in looking for proper singers and bassist to create a fun dreamy-washy band, we finally gave up on looking for a third or forth member. Instead we decided to rebrand ourselves and have fun being a trashy noise rock band after a fun jam session full of blast beats and shitty half riffs. I usually play really mathy stuff so being able to focus on shit that is more formless feels good. We just need to hone it in, but it's a lot more fun than what we were trying to go for originally.

The band is also called Insecure Trash. Probably gonna have a fuck ton of recordings soon.

this week i got an Ampeg Gemini I in amazing shape for $200. needs some work (new pilot lamp, current one causes weird oscillation, tremolo work) but the reverb is crazy amazing and its just unfff.

I also picked up a Yashica Electro 35 in immaculate condition with the original case for cheap yesterfday. such a fun camera to shoot with.

and my band is playing an awesome festival saturday.

haha that was my first camera! I got it from my dad years ago! It's one of the BEST old school point and shoots, it takes amazing pictures, there are some cool lense adapters for them too

played out tonight for the first time since my band fizzled out nearly 6 months ago, got to play live improv games with a bunch of nice people which was a lot of fun, gonna keep doing it to try and curb my slump a bit.
also fuck i love 7 string guitar, i'm kind of kicking myself for not trying this earlier, it's consistently blowing my mind how much more i can do with one extra string. so refreshing.

Saw a cat on a porch today, looking content and peaceful, as it sat and watched a mangled mouse die.
