Thanks dude. I got asked the same thing over at the Electrical Audio forums, and I'm trying to remember what I said. Essentially the Bastin profile thickness is in between my two EGC's. I think the Bastin neck is a great transition for someone into the aluminum world that is used to Fender necks. While I find them to have similarities, it is clear that they were both designed by different individuals with their own visions. I'm beyond impressed with both EGC and Bastin's level of quality, attention to detail, and making quality products.

Thats interesting.
I kinda thought that the restrictions of working with aluminium (eg weight) would mean that the necks would be very similar if not the same.
I am enjoying the bastin for sure...but the the alure of EGC is growing!

Re: Let's see you!
My buzzo's neck is like a razorblade. Yellow's neck is a chunky full medium, kinda working toward baseball. Bastin is in my eyes a nice thinner Fender. The construction of Yellow's neck is the most different out of the bunch, in that it's hollowed out in the center and has another slab of aluminum for the fretboard.
I think the headstocks are where I see the most differences. EGC uses a tilt-back/angle like Bean and Gibson, whereas Matt uses a flat headstock with no angle and uses the Sperzel tuners for the break angle. I know the first few EGC's did something similar with the flat headstock, but again the Bastin is completely its own thing
