Beatles on Spotify. The pre-psychedelic era stuff that I've ignored as an adult. Kind of confirms my previous view that they hadn't fully become "the Beatles" yet consistently, really gelling as their own thing without being so obviously derivative in their influences and genre hopping, Beatles-y gems notwithstanding. Other weird thing is my parents had Revolver and beyond, but I think their aesthetic connection with them kind of diminished after Rubber Soul, which is where my connection picks up. And I'm remembering all these songs from childhood, even beyond the stuff that you hear all the time.

Rubber Soul down, almost done with Help! and will be continuing backwards.
