Thanks dude. I always use both unless we're doing a fly in show.

for fly ins do you just use whatever they have?
those cabs look well used and awesome!
are the amps EQ'd the same?

No, we sort out back line rental with the promoter beforehand. I actually read a pretty funny Nels Cline blog about all the shitty gear he's had to use in those scenarios over the years.
I've had both of those cabs for quite a while. They've definitely been around the block a few times.
The amps sound different as-is. They're both Superleads, but one is an O.G. and one is a RI. The old one I run at half power into the slant cab and use the low input of channel one. The RI I run at full power, but with 12at7 and 12u7 preamp tubes, into the low input of channel two and into the straight cab.

Got to use the new V4 cab (on the left with the Traynor) with the full band today. This rig literally roars.

Lets take that beast mode to another level, then:

Top amp is a dutch Super City MK II; kind of Marshall Superbass-y vibes. Really nails that Lemmy sound with the volume maxed out and the bass dimmed.
Amp underneath is a Peavey F-800B (DFA1979 bass sound) 400W solid state (one of 3 or 4 here in Europe, I believe). Destroys whole cities with the bizar amount of volume it has on tap.
Cab is a Ampeg SVT-412HE. Not the best 412 around, but has a nice vintage touch to the sound.
Still looking for a GK NEO 412 or Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 412 to pair with the Peavey, so that I have a vintage and modern sounding set for different bands/ projects.
