I played everything myself, but drums are not live. I simply hammered them in on a MIDI drum pad and then fixed 'em up in software. Guitar's a beaten up Aria Pro II Wildcat RS I bought for $170, tuned to C standard. Bass is a weird one, a Greco Pegasus.
Recorded and sequenced everything in Propellerhead Reason 8 (disclaimer: I work for Propellerhead). Used amp simulations from Kuassa (both Cream and Vermilion). Generally recorded two guitar tracks with hard panning left & right For bass, Kuassa's Cerberus bass amp was used. For drums I used the Ryan Greene Alt Drums library. There's a bunch of other plugins nd devices used for mixing too but it's primarily Reason's built-in SSL mixer emulation.
For pedals I relied heavily on the BAT Quantum Mystic and BAT Pharaoh Supreme for the dirty sound. The softer passages are Blackout Mantra LE + DOD Phasor + Obscura and/or software delay. There's also the Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder, specifically pretty much all of Rungholt.
Listen to Oarfish, it's heavy.

Amp sims are people too! The key is masking how they sound with pedals and decent production.

I also found that I like 6550 over KT88. I popped the 6550s that originally came with it and rebiased it and it sounds amazing. That being said I didn't try setting the bias a litttle colder on the the KT88 though so that could have been why I didn't like them.
In my opinion, model T's sound better with 6550's. When I first got mine I immediately put a set of JJ KT88's in there that I had in my Traynor. Sounded good but never impressed me as much as other people kept saying about Model T's. Both in tone and volume. Hell, my yba1a was just as loud and my Sound City 100 was even louder. Well, I figured maybe I burnt through those JJ's with the traynor since its high voltage and always had it cranked, so I put the stock Tung-Sol 6550's back in the Model T last night (the amp came with all barely used almost new old stock tubes, luckily I didn't try to flip them when I first got them) and the volume difference startled me. Like, literally I forgot to turn the volume back down after swapping and when I flipped the standby I literally jumped. It sounded insanely loud. Louder than any other amp I've owned. So glad I decided to do the swap, I was almost considering putting it up for sale or trade.

1) That's fucking great, chilly!
2) I was considering swapping 6550s into my 2nd Gen Model T, but that fucker is loud enough already!

I almost sold the NOS Tung Sol that came with it but I'm glad I didnt. They sound great. I won't spend what they cost on another set once these go though.

I don't notice any volume difference between 6550 and kt88 with mine. The 6550 sound a shit ton better though. I wanna experiment with different preamp tubes though.

I probably only had a volume increase because the JJ KT88's I had in there were probably burnt out from cranking them in my YBA3 all the time for two years. I've never had good luck with JJ power tubes, all my amps seem to go through them within a year. Hopefully these Tung-Sol 6550's last me a while because they sound so good, I also wouldn't be able to afford a new set once they're done.
My perception of volume has changed the last year. Forgive me if I've already brought this up before. I used to think that having more made me louder. More speakers, KT88's, more wattage, etc. One day I played with a buddy's band that used the same type of amps I did but through just a 4x12 each amp and I couldn't understand why he was WAY louder than me while I had more speakers and me running KT88's (which people claim add more wattage). So since then my idea of volume has changed from hardly pushing more stuff to pushing less stuff a lot harder (if that makes sense). So instead of pushing 8 speakers with 17 watts going to each, I rather push 4 speakers with 35 watts going to each. To me, this sounds louder because the speakers are being pushed harder which makes that little cab(s) sound like it's blowing up. Same with tubes, I feel like I can never get to push KT88's really hard because they are too robust in wattage and capacity, where 6550's seem to get pushed much harder, which, to me, can be heard when I'm cranking my amps. So lately I've been rolling with the idea of less is more, and I honestly think my rigs have never sounded louder. So consider me stoked. Of course, a lot of this is just my opinion. And I'm never opposed to seeing bands with wall of amps and cabs, but I'm really impressed when a band with single half stacks can pull off being just as loud if not louder!
