I got this beauty the other day and freaking love it! The pickup combination creates a TON of different sounds. Even acoustic-ish stuff with the low gain lipstick.

Yeah couldn't find any reviews either but I loved the way it looked so much I took a gamble and it paid off! Idk about the Christian thing, but yeah the original recipt came with the guitar and was for $2600... But I scored it used for $1020 ;) possibly the best guitar purchase I have made.

It is a tonesmith. Has a lot of cool custom options with aluminum and what appears to be drumshell binding.

Fuck i know why i thought there was a weird christian thing about them. i had an ex girlfriend in like 2001 and she was super christian but she went to shows and put out at least for me so i was cool with it. Anyway she got that scream magazine from back then HM or something and i saw their add in that and thought they looked cool.

I might have to look for a used one...

It's a great guitar, I'm actually playing it more than my 66 Jag.

I kind of have the guitar bug again. I want a cheap, but not shitty guitar. What kind of options are out there? Squier? Jackson? What do you guys like on the cheap that doesn't go out of whack every five seconds?

Actually, I think cheap fenders are better than ever.I have a shitty squier affinity tele, I switched out the pickups, did a decent setup on it, and it kind of rips. The next upgrade I would do is a new neck since the stock one needs the setup to be a little high.

I also like epiphones, but that's probably because my first guitar ever was a pawn shop epi and I learned on them, not necessarily because they are good.

Honestly though, the worst part of most cheap guitars these days are the electronics. The other thing you loose are small details, like frets a little sharp on the sides of the neck, bridge a little out of whack. But lot of those things you can work on yourself and save some cash in the process.
