not to belabor anything uncomfortable but I'm not sure this makes you a patsy.

So I think my Grand Ma is going to die. :(

Last week, on Friday I think, my cousin and I left the gym to go see her at her nursing home. It's actually a very good one and they've been taking care of her for like 7-8 years. Good care too. Very nice people. So my dad had called me and said "Mema needs to go to the hospital and is refusing. Would you two mind coming up here and talking to her". So we did and when we got there we didn't know what to expect. Her face was super swollen, she looked extremely pale (even for her age of 85) and was weak and not really responding like she normally did. Apparently she had been losing blood in her urine. So she agreed to go via ambulance to the hospital.

Fast forward to today. Her blood cell count (white and red) are in a critical area. Her body is not producing them. She has e coli and they suspect leukemia. :( She has had 5 blood transfusions and the last one they had to stop because it put her in afib. I saw her and I just know, she's going to die. I am beside myself about this. I love her and after my grandfather died 11 years ago, we thought she was going to die of a broken heart. She has suffered so much and I just don't want her to be in pain. We are waiting for an oncologist to confirm cancer or say no cancer. Regardless though, her immune system is not working. I've cried and cried and cried some more. It's times like this that make me want to drink again, but I know it won't help anything. I just hate this shit. I fucking hate it!

Really sorry to hear that man, and you're right -- drinking won't help. It's hard as fucking hell but use that strength to help hold everyone together.

Very sorry to hear that, Jwar. My grandma died from a nasty, aggressive form of leukemia a couple years ago and it sucks. Stay strong.

Thanks guys. It's hard. We are waiting to hear if that's even what it is. Sigh. I wish they could just tell us something. We know she's going to leave soon regardless. Her body just can't take this shit.

My housemate just got her hair cut/dyed and now she looks strikingly similar to my friend that died a few months ago. Right after I saw her new look I had to introduce her to a friend and my mind shut down for a second in confusion. I'm going to think about it every time I see her for however long she looks like this. Haunted.

Supposed to play first show with Amber Clouds in 12 hours. Spent the last five hours puking, shitting, having the strength of an infant, all the while enjoying some serious roller-coaster fever. Feels like food poisoning. Oh joy.

I'm pretty sure the woman in the apt. above mine just bitched me out on my roommate's behalf -- possibly without him knowing?

my car got towed last night, so i had to spend the first part of the morning ransoming it from the towing company. now i'm at work waiting for the big-ass snow storm to send me home. my back got all tweaked from the tasks involved in getting the car out, so i'm in terrific pain every time i move. living the dream.
