Life isn't just cruel, but horrible people find a way to fail upward, and memorable people are always being taken from us. Sorry to hear about your friend.

Stayed up all night drinking beer and playing Twilight Princess. Now I've wasted all of today's daylight hours...

Well, guitarist had to cancel practice, so I guess all that's left to do is get drunk...and get some nice dinner.

At this point my post-punk band is not even calling me to tell me our weekly practice is cancelled, it's just assumed to not be happening? Or they chose a shitty way to kick me out. Meh. But I may have just convinced my friend to buy a 12 string so weirder better music can happen soon!

is cool.. bassist in my 'band' rescheduled practice; haven't jammed together in like 2+ months.. absurd.

i'm having a tough time with drinking. I've moved on to high gravities cause they're cheap and get the job done .... I told myself LONG ago, if ever got to this point, then that means it's BAD. went a day without drinking, but took my friend up on a brew at his daughters bday and here I am getting shitfaced afterwards.. fucking sucks feeling like I have no self control. a sip is all it takes. I got the day off work the other day and proceeded to take 3 hits of acid and drink myself into oblivion .. didn't get a damn thing done besides listen to my bass rumble. hope I can stay dry for AT LEAST a week starting tomorrow. been drinking daily for like 5+ months.. ain't right
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

I hear ya, man—I know that feeling well. I got super bad with drinking several years ago and ultimately quit. Not saying that in any capacity other than that I've been there and totally empathize... realizing that I was getting different kinds of booze to maximize effect and minimize cost was one of the lousiest feelings of that whole experience.

That's rough, resin! You can do it, just stay busy and wear yourself out. If you want to talk to someone who was intoxicated for 7 years straight, drop me a PM!

Was in San Francisco earlier to sell an amp to my friend/old roommate at my old place, and then went somewhere else in SF to buy an amp. SF is getting worse and worse in terms of people and attitude. I kind of want a pandemic to hit there. Just kind of.
