I will probably end up setting the RM up dirty most of the time and keeping the BQ cleaner but that's mostly because I like messing with the other BQ sounds clean as well

Awesome! Thanks for the assessment. That sounds like a good plan.

yeah the BQ has so many options, I can see where people would have 2.....I will try to post some videos at some point, although I generally am wicked bad at getting anything on the internets

Thanks man! :animal:

For live I'm all about different volumes, textures and dynamic shifts, and less about bringing the drones. I usually have a reverb of some sort on the go, but I'm sacrificing reverb for MOAR FUZZ. The other guitarist is heavy on the drone tone, so I tend to stick to more traditional rhythm guitar sounds live. In the studio though, there's plenty of time for the walls of noise. Our Blush EP was basically a hymn to the reverb gods, namely Eventide Space with fuzz after it, and Avalancher was all Quadraverb done in post production.

had a dirty verb shootout between the RM and the BQ last night, lots of fun

A man with similar tastes. Pitchfactor and timebender together are quite a couple :)

Jwar, can you pick 4-5 pedals you'd use? Build a nano board out of these (and try not to invert you boner from the strain). Curious to see what you'd keep if forced to cut waaaaaay back.

NEW GAME!
Pick 5 pedals from Jwars board.

I'd take the Doper, Second Voice, BDSM, DD-500, and Dream Sequence.

I'd run BDSM first, and from the bassier output I'd run the Doper with the SV in the loop and on the trebly side I'd run the Dream Sequence into the DD-500.

Hard, hard question and choice. :( LOL!

So if I was forced.

Dual The Elements, Boss DD 500, ILFDD, H9 and Toneczar Openhaus.

The rest, as much as I love them could go and I'd be fine with just those. But I'm glad that's not a choice I have to make!!! LOL!!!

Put this together today:

Lots of fun. Still more than I need for what I feel like playing right now... if I can find a band like I'm trying to (looking for people to play with is the worst!) it'll get cut down more but at home this is cool.

Really happy with my fuzz game right now.

Same here. I've got gear that a lot of succesful professionals would drool over, but I've been band-less for ages now

How do you use the PDF-1, in terms of settings/stacking? Looks like it's last in the chain, right? What about your amp? I'm trying hard to like my PDF-1, but so far I can't get it to do anything magical besides boost my signal and maybe add a bit of lows/highs in a way the average low gain overdrive would :idk:

It seems particularly good in the sparkle/treble departement, and that's kinda the area my amp needs taming in stead of enhancing...:idk:

Guess I should be really thankful that I'm in a band that's into using pedals and effects. Sounds like those are harder to come by than I thought.

PDF-1 is first in the chain actually! I do a few things with it, and I do like it after fuzz pedals as well as before so I'll probably move it to be in the middle somewhere. I use it most of the time as a low mids boost, in front of a fuzz it really beefs up the sound for riffage.

^ haha yeah, but I wouldn't mind a band where I only use a couple of pedals, to be honest that's normally what I do when I play with other people so I can focus on playing. Right now I just really want to join a band, any band.
