Re: Count To Five
time stretch is not that bad to implement but it is on the 856 already so too bad (maybe?) for ct5. i just wanted to add a bit more nuance to the algorithms, but hey basically stay as they are.
im trying to put a trigger though in mode 1 as was suggested up, then you can set the trigger sensitivity level/also some modulation in mode 1.
mode 3 i just tried to add a primitive/random step sequencer to the DIR knobs.
so far that is all.

Oh heavens... that sounds brilliant. It already sounds like there's some pseudo synth/sequencing stuff going on at a couple different settings. I can only imagine what will happen with dynamic triggered pitch glitches and sequenced loops

Oh shi. 856 GAS rising....

ya it's just trying to do what i think sitarman suggested for mode 1, or at least somethign similar/what i interpretted. the idea would just be that assuming 2 notes break the trigger threshold, you would have a similarly spaced first echo or sequence of echos for each note. Probably more noticeable on the longer buffer settings. I don't know if it will really make it sound more glitchy or more regular over all.
i experimented also a bit with having an envelope follower modulate DIR 1 in mode 1, but it is way too incoherent/everything you play sounds like the same mess.

Re: Count To Five
When you mentioned modulation in mode 1 my eyes popped out of my skull.
But when I started thinking about modulation on modes 2 and 3 this is where I really creamed my pants.
Say, would it maybe be possible to make the delay times non-discrete in maybe transcedence mode but still keep the visual/LED indication when a certain discrete step has been reached? Maybe someone else would like to see this implemented? I think it would make the stutter and transitions from the shortest buffer lengths to the longer more natural and improve the sound. So basically we could have the normal operation that is all discrete and erases the buffer on buffer length change and all that( and transcedence which is all liquid and non-discrete etc etc etc. Just a thought. Would be incredible. Cheers

I imagine it'll be less glitchy overall, but for my purposes that'll open up a lot of the glitchier settings that I don't use much currently. For example, shifting a major 3rd on A sounds... shall we say "dissonant" in a song that's in C. But if I could trigger the major 3rds only on certain notes, that opens up all kinds of fun with the more interesting intervals.
And yeah I can imagine how crazy modulating DIR 1 must sound. I guess if someone really wants to unleash that sort of mayhem it could be doable, though maybe not ideal, via an expression pedal

Re: Count To Five
I could see envelope-based modulation (particularly on modes 2-3) being incredible. I often pair my CT5 with a clarinot and they just sing together

A randomized continuous capture feature on Mode 2 would be pretty great.

you can basically already do this in mode 2, just turn on transcendence and hold down the soft switch while you play. it will continuously capture and play it back randomly if you have the knobs set up to do so.

probably not, but all suggestions are appreciated. (:

Thanks. I thought I found that once but then I turned off transcendence and forgot how it had happened. But I guess I was really thinking of a randomized length setting.

Re: Count To Five
Any update on saving mode 3 loop volumes, Q setting, mode 1 filter or transcendence during power off?
Also, not sure if it could be done, but something similar to the delay used on the verses in Soma by Smashing Pumpkins would be pretty sick.

you can already do this in mode 3, just loop your favorite portion of the song by plugging your ipod into the pedal. voila, 3 copies even.

i know it's probably not at the top of your priorities, but any word on the firmware update for the rev h/i CT5 users?
