Re: Let's see your AMP!
FedEx just dropped this off...

Modified single channel 50W Brownface Showman style build from Frugal Amps. Destined to make sweet surf rock tones with my also recently acquired Squier VM Jag and Surfy Bear FET Reverb tank. I may post some clips or a video here later tonight, if I get a chance to make some later.

If I'm being honest, I have nothing to compare it against. I've never owned a Fender Showman, let alone a Brownface/Blonde version. It sounds great so far just on its own terms though. Super clean, really loud for the size. I need to get a chance to open it up and see how it sounds pushed a little. I got it for jamming and playing live, not really home use, so I've only had a chance to play it kind of quiet so far, around 2-3 on the volume at home through a 1x12. The build quality is really good though, especially for the price.

Nice, I used to have a Hiwatt Custom 50 and it was a killer amp. Almost no way to make it sound bad.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
I made a clip using the Frugal Amps 50W Showman last night. Guitar is a Fender MIM Strat with CS Fat 50 pickups, into an fdeck HPF PRE (filter turned all the way up to 140 Hz), through a Surfy Bear FET Reverb tank, into the amp, into an Eminence Swamp Thang loaded 1x12. Same settings on both rhythm and lead tracks, but with some of the "Raw" control on the lead. It sounds even better cranked up louder, but this was about as loud as I felt I could get away with while my kid snored on the couch in the next room (still pretty loud actually).

Indeed, BUT it is also an amp that doesn't forgives mistakes. I don't think i'll ever sell it, best amp i've ever played.
