Its totally fine, lack of modulation and how it handles stereo are its downfall.Ev_O))) wrote:Bronzetalon, how that avalanche run creating you?

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
I've created the very odd problem that since adding the patchulator 8000 to my board, it has so much capability that I am literally overwhelmed with writers block when I even look at it. I find that the only productive work I can do is to start with planning out an effects chain that seems interesting, then letting the songwriting come as I explore the sound that comes out.
Before, when my board was just a single linear series of pedals, I would typically have the song very firmly planned out, and then apply a couple effects to the signal based on what I was playing.
Seems like I've improved my game overall...but I'm not yet that adept at wielding this mighty weapon.

Thats what scares me about getting one. I mean, dont get me wrong, I want one. Seems like it would be trippy as fuck to make my board patchable like that, but im a set it and forget it kind of guy. Not sure I would really use it to its full potential.HighDeaf1080p wrote:I've created the very odd problem that since adding the patchulator 8000 to my board, it has so much capability that I am literally overwhelmed with writers block when I even look at it. I'm really excited to get one? I plan on using it as a set-it-and-leave-it sort of thing, but occassionally shaking things up with it, maybe patch in an extra instrament or occassionally add an off-board processor of some kind. I don't plan on changing patches between songs EVER (unless it's a very simple patch).BitchPudding wrote:Thats what scares me about getting one. I mean, dont get me wrong, I want one. didn't think about patching in other instruments....that could actually be useful with what I have planned.

Pulled the Whammy V off my board and added the Charlie Foxtrot, Strymon Multiswitch, and Whammy Ricochet. Much more fun with noise now.

The power that comes along with just being able to move your compressor around to different locations in the chain, or your envelope filter...or your flanger...it changes everything. Vastly different sounds based on the order. Put a compressor after your reverb pedal and listen to the madness!
