Playing our first show in a while. I'm excited about that, but not about moving my drum kit.

dubkitty wrote:i spent hours today watching Rickenbacker 360 demos on YouTube, and i still have no idea what the guitar sounds like playing single-note stuff...everybody demoing them is just doing their thing with it, nobody's listening to the guitar and trying to get the best out of it. living in Charlottesville, i'd probably be lucky if i could find one to test out in Washington, DC, and at ~$1600 that's a lot of money to order one for test purposes. but Slowdive...

I still haven't decided whether I like my 360 or not.
I've had it for two years.
Although, I haven't really tried shoegazin with it, either.

 That sucks, man!

Just remembered that I have to turn in the first four pages of my bachelor paper on Monday. I haven't even read all the books I'm writing on. Shit.

^^^aaaah book manuscript due Friday. Gotta edit this whole shebang and sort out ~650 citations...and write an intro.

But right now I'm watching cartoons with my daughters.

Priorities.

I have more pedals than all the music stores and pawn shops in my town...combined.

Good that I have a bunch of cool shit. Not so good that there isn't much locally for myself or others.

Ugh, I'm five coughs away from pneumonia and it's been a fucking week of this already.
Also, I still haven't filed my taxes because I'm stupid and procrastinate.

Being unemployed sucks. It's been two months and so far nothing is coming up for me.

As soon as I get my taxes back I can keep coasting and, like, eat dinner every night again, which would be cool.

Mostly binge watching The Simpsons and job hunting. Also working on a new band, but that's moving a little slow still.

Whoever writes tax forms and tax credits should be shot in the nuts with a paint ball gun every morning when they get out of bed.

Went in for an oil change, was told I need brakes and a front wheel bearing very soon. Which will cost about $1200. God fucking damn it.
