It's a fucking perfect Autumn day and I get to be on the coast, at the beach.
My client's family just told me I'm free to wander off if I want, so I'm gonna grab a coffee and just watch beach happenings.

Spent $300 on Friday getting something changed on my car after a month of stupid engine misfire problems. When I picked it up, the engine light came back on and it was having the same issues. I spent all weekend thinking nothing was fixed, but suddenly it's working fine. I guess some gunk just needed to get worked out or something.

So now my car works, I got my state tax refund and I'm relaxing on the porch with a cigar and some beers. Ahhhhh. :3

EDIT: Ok, got too windychilly to sit outside, but still, ahhhhh

EDIT2: spoke too soon on the car thing...grrrrr :grumpy:

Saw Mamiffer and Eagle twin tonight, two bands I've wanted to see for yeeeears.

Eagle Twin destroyed it. It was cool to meet Gentry, too. He was a real nice guy. He plays the ever-living fuck out of his guitar.

Drove straight from work to Oswego, which is about an hour drive. Katie unlocked the door when I texted I was on my way. She was waiting in bed for me. I tip-toed past her friend sleeping on the couch and managed to crawl into bed without waking her. We cuddled and semi-slept until the afternoon. Katie, her friend Claire, and I watched the new Pee-Wee Herman movie and joked around. Katie made breakfast around 2. I went back to bed before 3 and slept until 8. Claire was gone and the sun was down. We made nachos and watched House Hunters. I took a shower at 10 and was out the door at 10:45. It was painful to leave. I have real world things to do Sunday, but Monday morning, I am driving straight from work to her empty bed, to sleep until she gets home from work. I smile all day, now. I am taller and smarter and better with her in my life.

Yay! Happy for you chuck :joy:

I'm pretty happy about booking a kinda spontaneous trip to India for next week. Instead of gray skies and expensive beer I'm gonna be on the beach and have cheap beer. Plus I'll hang out with my best friend and little sister there which is really cool

Five stolen moments of perfect spooning this morning before her daughter got up. Bought groceries and toothpaste. I'm going to cook dinner, beef tips and rice, so they can eat as soon as they get home. After dinner, they head off to Girl Scouts. I didn't know I needed this.

It's cool when it works out that way.

I played in a dear friend's semi-improv band the other night. We were loud as fuck and everyone who came said it was the best so far :)
I like playing improv shows. It's like getting on a roller coaster with a blindfold on or something.
