Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Finally getting on the Bitquest train! Ordered one Friday evening. Psyched. Already started perusing the settings thread. Thinking I'll mainly use it for pitch shifting, ring mod, & bitcrushing, but some of the stuff y'all have discovered on the delay settings have me pretty intrigued.
Also ordered a JHS Crayon. I have a soft spot for weird overblown direct-in sounds. Thinking Frederic Mutant>Phaser>Crayon>DI->interface. We'll see. I'm aware of the general dislike for JHS stuff on here but has anyone tried one of these?

I have a feeling it won't happen but I'd gladly see the entire rig and like a video of some patchesoscillateur wrote:Do you have a photo of your whole system ?
I'm kinda curious about the result now, as you seem to have focused quite a bit on the more esoteric/uncontrollable side of eurorack...

I have been modding pds series pedals for awhile and have been on the look out for a pds8000 to mod and play around with for fun.
Just picked this one up....only one problem...one owner vintage pedal that is like museum quality and I don't really have the heart to dig into something so pristine. Guess no mods on this one.

I got a new pedal today because I'm a beta tester for a pedal company now. I can't tell you about it yet, but it's fucking amazing!!!!!

So they're testing the "time to the flip" on it, eh?jwar wrote:I got a new pedal today because I'm a beta tester for a pedal company now. I can't tell you about it yet, but it's fucking amazing!!!!!
(What is the conversion ratio of Jwar flips to everyone else's flip? Excluding Neonblack, of course.)

It's time scaled.
So one week of standard jwar flipping is worth a year for most of the rest of us.
The neon fluctuates so wildly it's written out of standard exchange rates.
No economist can predict with any degree of accuracy what happens there.

HAH! That would be just wrong. This kind of stuff is a keeper. I really am honored to be asked in the first place.Gone Fission wrote:So they're testing the "time to the flip" on it, eh?jwar wrote:I got a new pedal today because I'm a beta tester for a pedal company now. I flip out of want to try other things and to pay off previous purchases..etc.
Not sure about ratios, but I know there are some out there that flip WAY faster than me. I've slowed down a lot. LOL. I actually give pedals a good go before I flip them now, but some you can tell really fast.

I was going to say, i think the only thing an economist might be able to predict with any semblance of accuracy is when an individual consumer might flip a pedal, because there's probably a direct correlation/causation going on with the individual's economic situation and purchasing habits.Brandsmannen wrote:Just because I have a beef with economics I ftfyIommic Pope wrote: No economist can predict with any degree of accuracy anything.

Depends on the circuit I suppose. The probability of a big muff getting flipped for a different big muff is quite high, I would believepsychic vampire. wrote:I was going to say, i think the only thing an economist might be able to predict with any semblance of accuracy is when an individual consumer might flip a pedal, because there's probably a direct correlation/causation going on with the individual's economic situation and purchasing habits.Brandsmannen wrote:Just because I have a beef with economics I ftfyIommic Pope wrote: No economist can predict with any degree of accuracy anything.
