Can someone dumb down the point in updating the firmware? I'm scared of changing the way my pedal functions because I dig it so much. I keep reading a lot of what you guys are saying but it's over my head.

I would like to update it. Transcendance mode looks rad, change volume of the loops in mode 3 too but I have a rev J. There's no update yet (or am I blind?)

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.

The fun part is that these updates only apply when you push certain button combinations. When don't push these buttons it works just like the 'classic' CT5 if I am correct. So these 'advanced' options only are there when you choose them so to say.

mmm not really because on this device the digital part has no control over the clean channel of the mix (ie the clean part does not come through the dsp) so you can't have it control the clean volume -> no master volume control that could conceivably be modified in code..

It should not be that boosted i would say but maybe you can make a clip to show exactly what you mean and i can make a suggestion.

i am off for the weekend but will reply next week.

check it out: https://soundcloud.com/gaynoise/ct5

"clean" then ct5 engaged with mix full ccw, clean then ct5 again. it's not crazy, but you can see it in the waveform. pretty noticeable when slamming with a fuzz. understandable if nothing can be done

Mine has a bit of noticeable boost as well, but I find that it helps the dry signal come out a bit more with higher mix levels. I've also only noticed it in mode 1 fwiw. I kind of like it though.

hey scott all of a sudden my ct5 started having an extreme volume drop when i turned it on. The whole signal can pretty much be barely heard. I first thought it might be some power issue but I'm pretty sure i have sufficient power. Im using a 1spot w/ 1700Ma. My cables are brand new as well. Don't know if you or anyone else on here has any input. It seems like a simple thing I'm missing probably but I've used different amps cables, power and nothing changed.

I currently have just the Ct5 hooked to it. but before i just had a few other pedals like the red panda particle and raster, rainbow machine and supermoon reverb pedal. all other pedals are chained to another power daisy chain.

At this point the signal is completely cut when i engage it on. Ive been using the same setup power wise for a few months and had no issues up tot his point.

Dumb question but: How do you set the mix knob?
