I don't think anyone had an issue with your PY price- it was just surprising to see. Your price was more than fair, I mean this means you paid like $15 for the LP and $10 for the shirt. Seems completely reasonable. I hope the vet situation has worked out. It's a terrible position, my best buddy got really sick about 4 months ago, and I couldn't afford the costs, despite selling whatever I could. If it weren't for my wonderful fiance my little kitty wouldn't be snoozing next to me right now. One of the roughest weeks of my life, and I can't imagine getting a little perceived hassle during it all. Really hope things get back on track for you! Best thoughts and Good Vibes!

Wondering where you guys are placing the PY in your chains? I've shaken things up gear wise recently and about to put a board together for the first time in a while. Gonna try a couple placements tonight, was thinking end of chain, but now I'm leaning towards pre-CT5 and Looper

Recently, I adopted a puppy, whom the shelter told me was perfectly healthy. It turns out he wasn't. And him being sick got my other dog sick. Long story short, lots of emergency vet bills. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a very good adult, so when bad financial things happen to me, at times I have to sell gear as a sort of last resort. I know that as a 29 year old, I shouldn't be living month to month, but that's the way it is and I had to take care of the situation.

I'm sorry if this looked shady at all, and I'm sorry Brian if I bummed you out.
as someone going through recent animal/vet things (one of my cats has cancer and it's been a rough past few months dealing with it) i completely sympathize with you and your situation and i'm really sorry... it didn't look shady at all and i was not referring to either of your listings - just the one for $400 mostly because it was a little lazy and slightly misleading. honestly any time anyone sells a thing they bought from me it bums me out a little bit because in one part of my brain it's some sort of low-level rejection. *thankfully* there is a larger part that understands people have lives and may need the money for any number of reasons or just don't like one small detail or even the pedal at all or just have some overlap with another pedal or maybe you found something smaller or larger or it has a different layout that's more ergonomically pleasing or different art or any of the infinite reasons someone may want to get rid of something. so... yeah. maybe i should have chosen my words more carefully in my previous post because even though i may have had a little huffy moment there the last thing i want is for anyone to have any guilt or shame about doing something like selling a pedal they bought.

if you dropped the price on the pedals and sold them already, then i'd like to donate the difference towards the vet fund. seriously - please let me know. my girlfriend put both of our cats on pet healthcare a while back and if we didn't have it then things wouldn't just be expensive like they have been... we simply would not have been able to afford the care zoli needed and would have had to make much more difficult decisions. for anyone with a pet that may need care at some point and a little extra money each month for the premium, PETPLAN has been a literal lifesaver.

It's the majority of them. Locally, globally. COL is brutal. Vet bills are a difficult discussion to have.
You sound like a decent person, trying to do right for an animal who needs help. Don't ruin yourself in the process if your own options for help are bleek. Part of being an adult is having to make hard decisions and live with the consequences. Maybe the hardest part...

As for the pedal sales-
Getting back what you paid is perfectly acceptable. Especially in your case.
And the NO MEMORY you should be free to name your price afaic. Or rather sell to the highest bidder...
all of this.

Many times in my life I've had to live juggling different debts, opening a wound to close another ad infinitum, it's not fun and incredibly scary.

Then again, I sold about 75% of my collection to finance a move, and I still ran out of money halfway through.

No judgement here! I definitely know what financial hardships are like man. I had to get a fucking equity loan this year to consolidate. I just try not to let it bum me out. I've sold, many, many pedals in the name of debt and regret them all of course, but whatever. It's just stuff.

Also, you're way nicer than me. I would have charged a lot more. hahaha. :)

Love love this pedal. I can't say I completely understand it yet. I know it's awesome and it destroys all in its signal path!!
This is by far the most versatile pedal I own. I think I'm struggling the most with the filter matrix. It seems to interact with every control so differently , I love it. Are the Filter Matrix toggles engaged when they are up or down?

Up. Reintroduces it to the feedback path after the gain stage. (1 is after first gain stage, 2 is after 2nd, 3rd is after 3rd, 4th is at the end)

I love how differently the filter sound in each stage of the circuit, not even taking into account the feedbacking settings. I noticed it in the demo video, but it's way more pronounced (and more awesome) when you're playing with it.

My only complain is that I'll never take this one out on tour or even for a single gig, the Boston DIY scene is too crazy for that shit.

Now to badger Brian to make a JFET version, like use a mini base or something so I can take that one live. ;)

I agree!! Probably won't put it on the board but will abuse it in the studio!!

Brian does have it on his board right now and he'll be on tour for another couple weeks. I think it'll be tougher than one may think. The tube isn't socketed and it's pretty secure inside there.

I've got mine after the main board (with CT5) but before the splitter to the looping module: this way I can loop any and all PY fuckery, keep that fuckery going in a loop, and then tune in some other fuckery in parallell. Oh and after the looper I already had a Fuck OD for even more fuckery ;)
