will the rev h/i units ever be able to get a firmware update with the 'transcendence' mode? that's the only thing i wish it could do (that it can't, currently). I almost never bother putting it in quantized mode (so i've never really missed the additional options). i didn't know if the lack of the Q switch made it impossible...

this is simply because i'm not fast enough to do it by holding it down and releasing it in mode 2
besides, momentary in mode 1 does something else by now i believe.

don't worry scott. i'll get by :)*

(but i would pay to get it!)
ok so we are approaching another batch rolling out of these so it gets the usual firmware massage.

any suggestions considered again, but here is the main updates:

1) mode one does what vidret suggested more or less. if you hold down the soft switch the data in the buffer stops changing and will just keep looping while the soft switch is held.

2) you can save the state of all "hidden" parameters (ie anything accessed by holding Q in one direction and moving the pots, such as lfo in mode 1, volumes in mode 3 etc). the saved setting becomes the power on default. its like having 1 preset basically. you can also recall the preset without power cycling. quantization mode is also saved etc.

that's it.

also if you emailed me about custom firmware and i lost touch i will get back to you soon. the last bit was busy so i did not have time to follow up on much. finally getting out of fab and back into development.....

That sounds fantastic.
I've been using the alternate firmware where the switch doesn't need to be held in modes 2 and 3. Will there be a similar alternate version of this new firmware? What are your general thoughts on keeping the branched and custom firmwares up to date with update features?

Are they going to be for Rev L only? Or...?
Word, any love for the Rev J firmware? I feel like I've asked this question a few times. Here's to being predictable.

hi dmanableman, welcome to the forum :)

re
1. yes maybe we will add some features to mode 2 since it has no love in the updates so far.

2. yes it is hard, not because of coding or anything, but because most of the dials/buttons are already used in all modes. it's been a reoccurring suggestion though. hmm hmm.

thank you for your feedback.

Used my CT5 with an EHX 8 step last night. WOAH :!!!: Some serious Nintendo tones to be had there!

I read on the ct5 site comments to use a trs for the expression in but I used a ts from the 8step and seemed to work fine? Is there some benefit to using one over the other?

I will gladly nominate myself as a Rev J beta firmware guinea pig. ;). Great pedal and wishing you all the best in your endevours. It is always refreshing to see manufactures/devs stay so connected to its users. Cheers.

To keep track of all of the modes & switch manipulations, I made a little legend/guide for myself & taped it to my CT5. I'll upload a picture tonight or in the days to come. It's really handy for live use.
That sounds useful, if you upload it we will put it on the site with the manual. There us an 8,5 by 11" card Nick. G made already up if anyone missed it as well.

I'll upload a pic of it cut to pieces & taped to my pedal someday soon.
I just cut each of the three sections out & taped them to a blank space on the ct5.
The top bit is the pitch interval set by the Q switch.
The next two bits list the functions set by holding Q up or down in modes 1 & 3.

For the Q switch, that should say 5 & 8 at the bottom right?

Hello, is there a date set for the new release of the CTF
A few more days, weeks?
Last i heard was 7 to 10 days?

Would be nice to have a little heads up, especially with the success of the 856. The CTF will sell out just as fast.

Thanks
