Well it's a sorry mess, but I put a board together for some recording and at least it sounds damn good, so yay.

Its really cool. Probably the easiest to use of the three stuttery pedals on my board. The Revolver, Judder, and Charlie Foxtrot all do similar things but they have their own vibes. Most overlap between the Judder and Charlie Foxtrot. The Revolver is a bit more on its own because it can get way more aggressive and digital with its glitchyness. Its also the least predictable.

The Charlie Foxtrot has the most electronic vibe. It often doesn't sound like you're playing guitar with the mix up high but it opens a lot of rhythm ideas. If you want simple but effective its the way to go. Unless you want REALLY simple and then a Raptio is better.

The Judder is like a cross between the Revolver and the Charlie Foxtrot. It still has a lot of rhythmic stuff going on but the control is much finer and you can get more variety in the glitchyness. Its really a multieffect too so you can go from resonant verb and echo to rhythmic stutter with a few little tweaks.

The Revolver is full digital glitch and stutter heaven. Nothing beats the way it captures a snippet and holds on to it. You can then bring it back later or manipulate it. If you have the cash its the very best for playing guitar I think.

Yeah, I'm basically a Raptio-guy (Possessed when I'm feeling adventurous), but the Foxtrot seems intriguing. Not a lot of demos/reviews of it out there, but you make it sound pretty appealing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

The Raptio is what I use on my live boards for two different bands. I can get stutter on demand and automated trem picking which makes a lot of cool effects possible. Plus Im less worried about messing up a setting since its such a simple design.

Light on fuzz, but this is the current state of my board

Image

I'm currently doing Hammond-based organ covers of 60s RnB so the Buzzz/Fuzz War had to make way for something more classic-sounding. I had my mind set on an fz1a clone but I didn't get any time with one before I demo'd the Fuzzrite, which was kind of perfect in isolation. The only problem I'm having is that it kind of disappears in a band situation (you might spot the maxxed out volume control), which surprises me to no end. It seems to have more than enough treble when I'm playing alone and it just seems to vanish at practice. Gig is tomorrow, we'll see how I get on with it.

I'm also pushing the limits of my apparently unique need to keep switches and knobs as far apart as possible.

Power is coming from a Harley Benton Powerplant Jr. It's dead silent. Stick your Fuel Tanks, this is as silent as silent gets.

^ Nice! Another happy HB Powerplant Jr user here. It's as reliable and silent as power supplies can get, if my board ever expands I'll just get me a second one.
How do you like the RE-20 btw? I'd like to try one, but I keep reading it's super noisy...:idk:
