oscillateur wrote:The most interesting bif of info about this is that Epic Games is in the list of developers making stuff for it. Which means that for the first time Unreal Engine will officially support a Nintendo platform (WiiU was supported by UE3 but it was a pain in the ass and that was at the end of the lifetime of the engine). This is actually potentially a big deal as this means that people using UE4 can target this platform, and there are many studios who are currently using that engine...
Also, I think I want to get this console (first time since the DS for a Nintendo console for me). Hoping that games are region-free because having to import an European/American console would be a pain in the ass (and mucho expensive)...
I would be seriously surprised if it was region free. from what i've read about nintendo's regional distribution/marketing process, it wouldn't really benefit them at all.
if that's the case i'll end up importing a japanese console knowing the amount of titles that never get localized.
that's cool about UE4 being supported though, they probably learned from the dismal library on the Wii U to make it easier for more developers to hop on board.
I think it looks great. Still have a Wii U, so they've got to come out with something other than a new exclusive Mario-title for me to get one (new Zelda is coming to the Wii U anyways). Third party stuff is not as important to me as I've got a PS4 for that sort of thing.

Splatoon is one of my favorite games ever. I can't wait to see what they do with the second one. They did such a good job building the world, I feel like they could do so much with it. I wanna see bigger battles. 8v8 or 16v16 would be amazing and they could probably do it with the new hardware

Also, it's powered and collaboratively designed by Nvidia, so it'll have some fantastic specs.
Hook it up to your PC Monitor, that's what I do.
This looks pretty cool, didn't pick up the Wii/WiiU but the Gamecube is my all time favorite console and still use my 3DS on a weekly basis. This honestly looks right up my alley. Is it possible to play 3DS games on it?

Man, I loved Dishonored - beaten it like 8 times. I just can't seem to get that interested in the upcoming sequel, I didn't even finish the DLC campaigns. I didn't think that I was so burnt on something that's so up my alley.
Weirdly. i'm super excited to play the free Skyrim Remastered on PC. So I just be an idiot.

You and me both, buddy! I did get three stars in all of those challenge levels, but I don't recall if they were DLC. Those were fantastic though! It's the first game where I've gone crazy for achievements. I think I got most of them.
