Re: Count To Five
Nothing special. Just some notes taped to the pedal to aid me live. LED taped over to temper its blinding nature.

cannot wait for this combochrisdermo wrote:Used my CT5 with an EHX 8 step last night. WOAHSome serious Nintendo tones to be had there!
I read on the ct5 site comments to use a trs for the expression in but I used a ts from the 8step and seemed to work fine? Is there some benefit to using one over the other?

It's ridiculously powerful. Also the 8step acts as a great way to store presets!decomposing wrote:cannot wait for this combochrisdermo wrote:Used my CT5 with an EHX 8 step last night. WOAHSome serious Nintendo tones to be had there!

The step function makes the 8 step super useful in my opinion. I see more as 8 stored values rather than a sequence.chrisdermo wrote:It's ridiculously powerful. Re: Count To Five
the sequencing turns the CT5 into a different pedal completely, really (too?) whacked out weirdo LFO modulated 'thing'.Inconuucl wrote:The step function makes the 8 step super useful in my opinion. I'm using midi to control my 8 step now..... if you're using it as preset store then it becomes 8 x 99 presets, with automated step changing, etc etc etc. In fact you can even control the slider values via midi kinda eradicating the need for presets at all if you store them as a midi CC sequence

Re: Count To Five
can't be 16 steps? back and forth? that's what I read I think... but yeah cannot wait. I have a dream setup and see it all. but funds man. it's been years in the making.chrisdermo wrote:the sequencing turns the CT5 into a different pedal completely, really (too?) whacked out weirdo LFO modulated 'thing'.Inconuucl wrote:The step function makes the 8 step super useful in my opinion. Yeah it does the back and forth thing, though if you're midi sequencing the slider values you can in theory have as many steps as you can imagine!

I need to get into MIDI eventually. I'm kind of dunderheaded about it but have done a few things and know it's possibilities.chrisdermo wrote:Yeah it does the back and forth thing, though if you're midi sequencing the slider values you can in theory have as many steps as you can imagine!
just love a standalone setup to get out there too.
would you just extend the pattern to whatever in the app?
and SAD FACE ON THIS, I would have loved to build one for an effects loop.

Re: Count To Five
You set up your midi sequencer (logic, ableton, Akai MPC etc etc) to send Midi CC's over CC Number 16 for example (this is the CC to control step 1 slider). Then you write a sequence for CC 16 similar to how you would with sequencing notes on a synth - on a step editor, via automation lines, recording yourself physical turning a midi controller knob or moving a slider etc etc.... voila! Infinite sequence lengths available.decomposing wrote: I need to get into MIDI eventually. I'm kind of dunderheaded about it but have done a few things and know it's possibilities.
