Greg Edwards did, so that's good enough for me.

I still have the filter bank after almost 8 years. you can find them used for $500. I use mine more for drums and synths. If you have synths, the midi-routing and patch points are not to be underestimated. Also, you can drive it like a mono-synth. It's madness.

Thanks guys!

I've posted my first few experiments here:

viewtopic.php?f=150&t=54370

Most of the pedals are new to me, as I've changed focus to guitar/fx/field recording. The above examples are using mainly:

Dwarfcraft Twin Stags
Chase Bliss Tonal Recall
Red Panda Particle
Empress Reverb
Mtl Assmbly CT5

I'm loving the Empress Reverb. Even the weirder setting just sound more real than the Strymon to me, and I love Strymon in general.

The Sherman FB2 I've had forever. It's a helluva distortion box on anything, just love it.

Cool man! Yeah the lack of menu diving on the Empress is very attractive, plus the algorithm updates via SD card. Oy.

The Empress Reverb is fantastic. Has a lot of weight to it. The Ghost setting is my fav. I had some clipping issues with my unit that I couldn't resolve, but it could have just been my setup. :idk: In the end, I went back to my Quadraverb.

As in it's picky about input levels?

Noice! ^

Nah, it was quite easy to overload the amp input, even at mild settings. Happened more with certain presets (Ghost) than it did with others. I'd adjust the Verb's EQ to dial it down, but then it'd change what I liked about the sound/weight. I wouldn't worry about it, though. Empress are constantly updating the unit and they've been made aware of this from other users. :thumb:

I fucked up and forgot about a bill I had to pay so I sold it :whateva:
All is well however, I was planning on getting an Empress reverb anyway so now I have a legit reason other than "because I want one"
