Picked this guy up recently. It's insane. Later Travis Bean neck (1650) married to a hollow body that someone made after the fact, and extremely well, at that. Replaced the Chet Atkins arm with a Strat arm for familiarity.
Fucking hell skully, that thing is awesome! Question: do the metal necks make those things super neck heavy or does the body weigh enough to balance it out?
Got my SG back today, the wiring was fuck so I had it rewired, switches replace, and had the dead bridge pickup replaced with a GFS Dream 180. Thinking of getting a p90 from gfs as well for the neck but for now, it dooms.

new wiring harness with upgraded cts pots, switchcraft jack and switch. new knobs. mint pickguard. custom wound (8.5k, 8.3k) jazzmaster pickups by buddha custom pickups. shielded the body cavity and pickguard.
Damn, Those aluminum neck guitars are sweet!! Neighbor when I was growing up had an aluminum neck Kramer Bass that was sick. Would love one but out of my league at the moment. Been digging this beater parts tele pretty hard the past few weeks.
