Dude the robots can have my job with all the disdain and self hatred it provides.

Just sent a pedal back to Canada. $48 to get it there. I haven't sent anything that way in a while. Must have missed the massive price increase??

this is small fry stuff but a local band I really like ( called Fagettes) and have been seeing for years called it quits finally, their final show last weekend was nuts at least.

Im doing everything I can do to distract myself from playing guitar because my wrist still needs to take it easy in order to fully heal. It feels fucking awful. I feel lazy and unproductive. I just want to keep working and writting and getting better. The past 2 moths have been so frustrating

Here's a pretty solid answer for you:

Funny he mentions corporate lawyers. I've read Guy Standings book about the precariat and he also specifically points out corporate lawyers as the most useless job. That book is also a great read if one is interested in this issue.

Sorry about your wrist man, that has to suck so hard

Bad sushi.

Not the food poisoning kind, but the bland and boring kind.

flatmate is being deported, and amidst my end of year uni assessments it's looking like I'll have to either take over the sharehouse lease myself or find a new place to live, again.

Did he tell the authorities that Aus. is, historically, a place that you get deported to?

Best case scenario my dad has a couple of surgeries and a shit ton of debt incoming.

Worst case scenario he probably has an extremely aggressive cancer and he won't really have to worry too much about debt.

Weird lumps as a diagnosis is way too vague for my already wrecked nerves.

To make matters worst is that my mom's heart condition basically means that if he goes she will follow soon.

I don't usually post about personal stuff on here, but yeah, my mother's cancer turned out to be way aggressive and untreatable. So now she's off chemo, and is basically just given pain relief. Will probably not be too long now, which obviously sucks. We've known for quite a while, so I've had time to process and talk to her about it, but still. Also, it's genetic and I'm a bearer of the gene, meaning that there is quite a chance for a theoretical daughter of mine to inherit it, or potential sons to become carriers. So, uhm, yeah.

Hope your dad fairs better, Juan! I don't want to bring up the old 'murica discussion, but man, it's fucked that he will have debt after being treated for a disease. Many hugs to you and yours.

Fuck cancer.
