Missed yer post the last time I checked in. Can't afford to right now, but one of these days I'm picking up a pitch fork :excellent:

Also, since yer delay game is pretty damn strong...How do you use the obscura? I'm dying to try one, but I think it might overlap too much with my 'regular' analog delay, and I'm not sure if those controls and extra modes would get much use...:idk:

I always put compression first in the chain.
I like the Accountant more than any comp I've tried before because its... dirty. I found out I like dirty comps better than clean utility comp stuff.

Also I reaaaly reallly want that Prometheus DLX you have for sale!!

No your are right...the style of the V1s are more appealing.

I use the Obscura for modulated tape delay and lo fi delay. One of my fav things to do with the Obscura is play a nice delay sample then freeze it and then let the trails carry into oscillation madness.

Finally finished it up (mostly). Waiting on my bud to get my RC-3 back to me, which'll go right before the volume pedal.
It's rare to see a board here without any delay on it...

Oh wait...

D.o.S. wrote:It would seem so. I've seen 3-4 on boards here over the years, but it always seems to get flipped under the pretense of "amazing but annoyingly finicky"
:whoa: And just like that, I'm considering the flip. YES the dual bypass looper made it infinitely more usable in a pedal context. BUT with my current config i'm having to crank the crap out of the gain to get the envelope to respond the way I want. PLUS there is a noticeable amount of hiss, maybe because of where it is in the chain, + the gain crank, + it's sitting above my power supplies....... :picard:
I WANTED IT TO WORK SO BAD. It's great with a guitar and 1 or 2 pedz straight in. As per my new policy on buying/flipping I'm going to persevere for a few weeks and see where I get.
Maybe I'll pair it with the Tetrax :idk:
If I ditch this I'm gonna get an expressionator and go 8 step -> expressionator -> DD7/PS3/CT5

The accountant is truly special. I flipped mine and had to get another one. I own some really good comps, but, still, the accountant is different.

You do own some really high end comps too, the accountant is awesome for tone, not so much for utility.
