The metalzone has some pretty cool settings as a boost/EQ pedal honestly. The parametric EQ is rad and can be used for some really extreme boosts and cuts. Cranking around 1k into a dirty amp is honestly pretty sick.

Had one at 14 (2003) myself. I plugged it in 'wrong' and it started smoking. My $40 gone in one day. I bought one in 2016 for $35. Still haven't played with it.
