Just put the difficulty down to easy and mow down everyone, you can easily finish it in like 8 hours if you do the mainquest.
ME2 does have a DLC where you can recap the story and choose certain story hooks to bring them into the sequels.

I had been doing all side quests since I want to get the full experience, but never have to go back and play it again.Andrew wrote:Just put the difficulty down to easy and mow down everyone, you can easily finish it in like 8 hours if you do the mainquest.

I think I read only 2 side missions are worth doing. Something with Wrex armor and something else.
You're probably right though.....I should just burn through 1 and get it over with.
Oh I didn't know that about the DLC.

1 was my absolute least favorite of the series. I would recommend just skipping to 2.GAS KING wrote:I had been doing all side quests since I want to get the full experience, but never have to go back and play it again.Andrew wrote:Just put the difficulty down to easy and mow down everyone, you can easily finish it in like 8 hours if you do the mainquest.

First playthrough is rough, but it does a lot of things very well if you're willing to give it a fair enough go.

About 12 hours into Final Fantasy XV. The game is fun. I'm not hugely into the combat but am impressed by some of the cooler mechanics. Warp Strikingbis cool as hell.

Beat Inside in one sitting tonight. A few parts were frustrating/finicky but, you know, I beat it in one sitting.

You can lock on to enemies and throw you weapon, then you warp and appear behind it right before slicing into the enemy. Then you can warp out to higher vantage points and then back in to smash your enemies and feel the lamentation of their women.Iommic Pope wrote:Tell me more about this warp striking...sounds awfully 40K.odontophobia wrote:About 12 hours into Final Fantasy XV. It's fun but combat is not menu based and therefore feels as though it lacks depth. It might not lack depth I'm just not feeling that, I want to go deep into a menu looking for aga spells.

Great game though. I loved Limbo, but this was so much more enjoyable to me. Secret ending was interesting too (find all 12(?) Generators).

Yeah i kinda feel like they reached perfection with the mechanics of VII.
Its pretty hard to beat.
I wnet back to Far Harbour for the first time in months last night. Did the Captain's Dance. In the process of fighting off water beasts and summoning a legendary mirelurk queen, i got involved in a crossfight between some grim trappers and a legendary albino angler. Shit got hectic. I somehow survived. Someone killed the Queen and i never found her body. Weird.

Re: The Video Game thread
I still haven't played limbo! I have so many other games from last gen sitting on my ps3 and ps4 (looking at you journey) that I keep meaning to get around to and that's one of them. I keep forgetting that not all games are like 100 hours after playing persona 3 and 4 back to back...UglyCasanova wrote:It's like two hours longjamesmikelly wrote:Beat Inside in one sitting tonight. Holy shit
The whole 'game journalism' thing really makes cringe especially compared to this article which is so incredibly detailed, long and well researched. Hardcore Final Fantasy fans can rag on VII, but you really have to appreciate everything that went into it. I know i'm a total gushing fan, but even that aside.

Kinda excited about Resident Evil 7. The demo was intriguing with some nice old school Shadowgate game design. Hoping the full game holds up.
