There are lots of different gold foils. They're generally not necessarily bright sounding, but "open" sounding.

Those knobs are actually apem knobs from Mouser. Some of my favorite knobs. They have a small skirt that is hard to see in pics. I can find a link later.

The apem version is out of stock, but that TE version is the same. Basically TE is the same knobs at prices that are double haha. But their worth it
