Bastion crushes at low levels because no one's figured out how not to run into him. Eventually, people realize he's first priority and it won't last. He actually gets to be really hard, and satisfying, to play because you can utterly lock down an area but you have to be able to move his giant slow ass around and change into a turret.

I love Bastion. I never pass up a chance to use him, but he's highly situational.

'Ethan Must Die' mode in RE7 is totally breaking my balls. It's the closest I've ever been to chucking my PS4 out the window.

Somehow managed to play 16 hours of Witcher 3 over the past few days. My 3rd playthrough and I never appreciated the majesty of Gwent. But it's almost cliche now to say that everything Witcher 3 does is amazingly good. It's really rare to see a game give bad story outcomes to passively selecting the 'good dialogue' options. The game rewards to for actually applying knowledge to situations than just doing whatever.

Also, never actually bought System Shock 1 since it was released on Good Old Games and I never actually had a legitimate way of playing it. I'm really, really happy that you can download a separate game file for the modern, Modified mouse cursor version and the edition. Going to listen to NIN and wear sunglasses.

Just picked up Nioh this weekend - it's basically ninja gaiden dark souls. Really digging the combat so far.

Gwent was the only part of W3 that appealed to me, but it was alot of fun. I understand they're coming out with a dedicated video game version of the card game (weird to think), and I'd play it as long as it's not play to win.

Speaking of video game versions of real games, I bought both Mordheim and Bloodbowl last week. The former I had friends who ranted about, the latter because I remember ads in 1980s Dragon magazine about it, and they're both really fun. I wish there were more tactical-orientated, turn-based stuff like this out there for console (no interest in PC gaming).

Been playing the fuuuuuck out of The Binding of Isaac recently. Planning on getting Enter the Gungeon this week on recommendation from some friends. Rouge like dungeon crawlers ftwwwwwwww.

Also have a little more than half of the cash saved up for the Switch. So hype for that.

I'm going to have to pick this up, never picked up the Wii U version - but I've always loved Yoshi games and the art of this is so rad.

I want more top down Zeldas, Wind Waker is my only favourite 3rd person Zelda game.

Still smashing through Witcher. Fuck, I genuinely love it - and is even more immersive with a bottle of Ardbeg.

I'm almost tempted to suffer though Witcher 1, but then I remember how utterly shit the combat is and start to feel sad.

I'm probably going to get a Switch once they'll be available without preorders. Mostly to be able to play real games when I'm in the living room with my son (who's too young to be left alone even when he's sleeping)...

I'll do the same thing as I did with the Wii U; wait a year or to pick one up. Other than LoZ:BotW, there aren't any games I need to play right away. I'll just play Zelda on the Wii U, like a pleb.
