Could you record something clean and with a distpedal in front of it, directly to a soundcard and upload that?

Here's a quick, sloppy as fuck demo, turn your volume up, I recorded it a bit quiet as a mistake. All knobs are at noon, but they give you a lot of variance. Dist is the pretty years with no filters on.
There's a lot of editing options under the hood, so I can do a follow up once I've gone and played with that.

Could you use a.. less than pretty years good sounding fuzz or dist? just show me something that usually hits an amp and sounds okay, if you have something around.
An upcoming bill forced me to sell almost everything, so I'm afraid that's all I have dirt wise, at least until I can find something cheap.

I bought a few Nux "Metal" pedals just for that reason. They're digital so you can disrupt the data flow. Let me know what you come up with. I almost instantly bought one from Amazon but it was $100 (over my "impulse buy" budget). You can get those awesome sounding Malekko 616 delays for that, or even less, used. No tap tempo on those though.
