I'll pipe in. Here's my Quilter. With the minimal control setup, it needs a little extra outboard EQ to have any flexibility, although you could certainly sound fine without it. It's much more forgiving than the Acoustic 150 that it's replacing, but slightly less ferocious. It gets decent in-between sounds, and you can run a boost or a Fuzz Face into it, if that's your jam. I prefer to run it clean with pedals. I've barely scratched the surface of how loud it can get.

I've been preferring headroomy setups lately, even though I don't play all that loud. My Laney Pro Tube 30 tends to disappear with an extended-range guitar and a drummer, even as it hurts my ears. Decent solid-state amps have always been underrated IMHO.

I like it a ton. I got it used at a good price, the new price is pretty steep. And lastly, I have very little laney experience so I can't offer a comparison with the rest of their range.

I don't even care how that sounds, I just looks so badass I'd put that rig in my living room just for decoration

Thank you very much for the compliment! Jared really outdid himself with these cabs, especially the 415. Pretty much destroys every other cab I've used in terms of looks, reliability, sound, and quality. They're even easy to carry, provided you arent lazy and can lift a 50+ pound object.

LTD ED Metro GMP45 Head x NOS Marconi Osram 1956 coated glass KT66 x 2 Mullard 10M Gold Pins in V1 x V2 x 57 Mc1 NOS Mullard LP in V3 x NOS 61 Fat Base GZ34 x 2 x 1 x 12 Celestion Creams, in Semi Open Back, that are also tuned/ported for JBL E120s, but not used ported with Creams. Also sometimes run 1 Ported Hemp Coned JBL E120 x Cream. Backs are 3 piece, 100% 3/4 Birch Ply.

Ive ordered a Mather Oversized recreation of a Marshall Oversized TVB Cabinet with EC Collins Pin tripe Bluesbreaker Cloth, and 4 x 1972 Celestion G12H to go in it. Theyre currently in an old Sound City 4 x 12. This cabinet came with the JTM45/100s. It measures 29.75W x 36T x 14D

Blackfaced/ODS mod x NOS tubes x 69 Fender Dual Showman. The OD mod is activated by the Bright Switch on Channel 1, and is a Fire Breather when cranked, and sounds 0000 like any Fender. Very High Giain, and feedback at lower volumes. I wont say low, as this beast is LOUD. It was modded by Richie Hall. He and his brother Dana supply VVR to Hi Tone. Dana was friends with Ken Fischer, and was voted by the Trainwreck forum to build the Ken Fischer Tribute amp, when Ken died. So they can really make some fire breather circuits. I also believe Dumble used Fenders early on, so the Showman is a great base. I just let Richie do what he wanted, and when the switch isn't engaged, its like a Twin Reverb Head. When the switch is engaged, the dbs jump seemingly at least 10db, and the gain can get pretty high. It does also clean up really well, but I like the cleans of the Metro better, though its not nearly as loud. Ive known Richie/Dana for 45 years. Richie lives 5 minutes from me.

2001 Fender Cyber Twin x 2 Celestion Creams. Had tried EV12L, and Hemp Coned JBL E120s. The CT has been my grab and go amp, since they came out in 2001. Great amp, and sounds really good, and is also very loud, or can be. Has MIDI/SPDIF, Line Level, Effects Loop, Headphone Jack, Stereo/Mono. 130W RMS or 2 x 65 x 2 x 12ax7 preamp tubes, 100% Analog Signal Path

I also sometimes run an Ohm Mismatch by running 1 x 8 ohm speaker, with the 4 ohm Head. Probably makes 65 watts, and is still really, really loud.

Usually run the amp with 2 x Altec Lansing 418H. Ive had the Showman since 73, and had it modded 100 hours ago. Have had the Carvin cab since 72. The original CTS blew 5 minutes after I got the ap new. I got the amp in the mail, plugged it in and the speakers instantly blew. I got the 2 Altecs a couple months later, and theyre still going strong.

Im also not in favor of any kind of speaker breakup. As in 000. Minimum 2x Speaker RMS vs Amp RMS.
