Is it the fuzz/delay thing you posted somewhere sometime I'm totally forgetting? That sounded pretty cool.

Yee, I posted a little clippy on my Instagram before I left for vacation. Basically it's similar to a Kompakt Kassette, but I have some different filtering options, gain shaping controls, and a momentary stutter switch that I *think* will pitch your stutter based off the envelope. I need to actually get my first proto into an enclosure and do some testing myself, but that's what it seemed like on my breadboard, using a wire instead of a momentary switch. I'll definitely know more by next week & can keep y'all posted!
If you've never used a Kompakt Kassette, it's gonna be a delay with a single repeat that's modulated by your envelope. It starts out as pitch warble and works up to complete noisy degradation, and there are two knobs that control either the fuzz's unruliness going into the modulation side or the sensitivity of the modulation. I won't have a wet/dry knob, but there will be a switch that moves between fuzz only (stutter still works), delay only, or ~50/50. I tried it with a knob instead of a switch, but most of the knob travel sounds either bad or undifferentiated from the position that came before it, so a switch will work just fine I think.
Jwar, I'll message you back shortly

Gain shaping? How much gain are we talking?

finished another Gerassic Organ, used a 4.7uf poly for them subbubbass tones. also built the Ciat-Lonbarde blackgroundcorn paper circuit. has two probes and a piezo mic. mic picks up sound as expected, probes act like a continuity tester of sorts for probing through circuit boards etc and you can modulate the resulting triangle wave signal by manipulating the piezo disc. pretty neat :joy:

Ya know, I'm not 100% sure what's happening electrically with the gain shaping knob, I just know that it kind of tames the harmonics down and makes the fuzz tone more resilient to being destabilized by the delay chip. I know that I'm working with a base gain of 20, though, as that's standard for an LM386 Op Amp. I can't say this for certain because I haven't looked into that circuit, but it sounds similar to a nice saturated tape deck-y fuzz from a Tascam or something.

I've been bit by the telecaster but and want to get another. I really want a thin line. I would need to sell some stuff and I just don't want to do that.
Instead...

BOSSS PS-3 should arrive today. Then I should probably post a new pick in the pedalboard thread.

hah! PS-3 (shit. might have beent the PS-2?) was the first pedal i ever owned. had an ADA MB1 into a power amp because THAT'S WHAT LES CLAYPOOL DID (except i think he had an actual head), was a kicken and he was my loooooove. and went out and bought the New Hotness Weird Shit.

...... never used it an actual song. there was no interwubs, no forums of people to bounce ideas off, no In Depth Searchy Before By Abilities...... it..... it was a different time.

Soo... this absolutely beauty finally arrived....
Plugged it in with the brand new power supply I had bought especially for this. The pedal gave off a loud hum and smoke started spewing out of the power supply.
So yeah. I feel like crying. No idea if it has been fried or if the adaptor was just faulty and the pedal is fine. I need to buy a new 18v plug and try it again. Expecting not to get any joy. Expecting to find out it's busted. Go me. :thumb:
