Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
I'm happy that I am leaving my job and this city behind, but I hate this in-between phase. I have 4 more shifts and 10 days left, but it feels a bit like attending my own funeral.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
My PSU has shit itself and I'm afraid that it has taken a couple of pedals with it. Couldn't find a 9v adapter in any shops around here. Fucking hell.
It produces a midrangey tone when I turn it on, even if it isn't connected to any pedals, I can hear the sound through my mixer, and they're only connected on the at the same outlet, not otherwise. Any suggestions as to what this could be?

Being single for the first time in 6 years is tough. Trying to dip my toe back in the dating pool again has not done good things for my self esteem.

Found a suitable adapter and switched the wires (it was wired center postitive). No harm done, just my cheapo power supply that died after 4 years.actualidiot wrote:My PSU has shit itself and I'm afraid that it has taken a couple of pedals with it. Being single dad doesn't really help either. Especially living in a college town. I'm not spending too much energy trying to date, but it would be nice.popvulture wrote:I totally feel ya on that. In my opinion the toughest part about dating is that everyone is extremely bad and also I have nothing to offer anyone.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Totally. It's like a Zen koan for Tinder.

you know what's worse? being 60 years old and thinking of dating when you still live paycheck-to-paycheck. Talk about having nothing to offer. at least i have my cat, and she loves me.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Not quite 60 yet but I can see myself in this situation. Currently have two cats, no money to rest on, history of - and options for - human companionship; abysmal. All I'm interested in is music.
Is it then strange I feel vicarious sadness over the breakup of my friend/drummer and his girlfriend? She was the only non-relative female presence, like she'd be at rehearsals and stuff. Really tolerant of noise obviously, and otherwise cool and open-minded, unlike most all others I've met around here. It's not my loss as such, but in this stifling small town existence any positive addition to this small circle of freaks is very welcome.
