Duuuude, nice! I built one this weekend and I freaking LOVE it. It went straight onto my board for a show I'm playing in a week. It gets so freakin' crispy & still cleans up nice.

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Based on its position I'd guess it's the Edge/High-Pass mod (bypasses C10, iirc). That's what I did on mine.
You've got one of the transistors hooked up to switch between Ge & Si, yeah? If so, which one?

I've got the GE/SI switch hooked up to Q5, the standard BC557b. And external bias knobs, which I think are even more important and versatile than the the germanium/silicon switch. And a little higher output volume. Also have one with bassier tone.

Can anyone who owns one of these confirm that it's the loudest pedal in the world? I can barely touch the volume control without it absolutely blasting my face. Amp is on 0.1, kinda having a slightly sucky hard time with it, to be honest haha.

Yeah, I was pretty pissed off, but it was all my fault. I got the wrong polarity. I blew up an 18v DC positive and an 18v AC. Both were just generic supplies. I bought an 18v DC negative and it's all good. If it was a shitty little pedal, I wouldn't have freaked out. But a limited edition $400 thing was a bit too hnnngggg for comfort. Just a lesson learned, really. Now I know everything about power supplies

Mine is loud but not insane. I have output usually at about 10 and rarely past noon.

Yeah mine is loud but i can set it to where it's in the mix. The settings interplay a lot so one setting can be much louder than another especially when you're mixing in the clean, increasing the output or feedback in that section.

Glad it's working for you now!

My Frequency Analyzer, long ago lent to a friend in Kansas City, arrived last week. That was 3 years and 8 moves ago. The replacement power supply arrived today. Mmmm. Frequency Analyzer into Tera Echo is pure ambient bliss. Into the Mini, it was evil science fiction. Frequency Analyzer into Tera Echo into Mini was just unnatural. When I have more patch cables, I'll experiment more. I want to use the twin outputs with the twin inputs of the Tera Echo.

I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact
