TV Jones pickups, Bigsby style trem without the roller bar, no tone control, black n silver. For the amount I saved on the offer, hopefully I can cover a roller bridge and some locking tuners to get it just right.

Been playing with my friends RKM and it is so dang sweet My only complaint is that I have trouble tapping the tempo without holding a few microseconds too long, so the oscillation starts to come out if I tap several times, as I am want to do with tap tempos. Also when I sent a CV clock into the tap input it aligned just fine, but was oscillating on all the downbeats. I wish there was a smart oscillation that clicked in after 300ms or something.

Anyways I got my dang All Flesh in from Landscape and BOY OH BOY do they make playing the No Coast fun. It's like a totally different instrument. You can make weebles and wobbles by tapping your fingers and putting all 10 on the 0-coast and going into full chaos mode is A+. Can't wait to cross sync it with the Mescaline. I haven't tried them with my Field Kit yet either.

I am curious as to why you wouldn't want a tone control? I understand if you may not use it all that much but isn't it nice to have the option? In other words what benefit is derived from not having one that made you want no tone control? Is it simply you like the looks better?

Ah yep I noticed that too. Tbh I've never used tap tempo a ton (though I plan to with this pedal), but as I was messing with the momentary oscillation yesterday I did realize that you could accidentally change the delay time if you stomp a little too frenetically. Not sure if it'll be an issue for me in the long run—I'll have to see if I get used to it and just learn how to be careful.

I'd been waiting a loooong time for one of my local shops to get in an Echosystem. It finally came in on Monday... I picked it up, took it home for several hours and realized it's just not for me. Cool sounding pedal, but frankly WAY more than I need, and I wondered how samey everything would start to sound once put in a noisier live setting (see also Neon's thread on fuzz).

Anyway, took it back and checked out some other stuff, one of which was the RKM suggested by my shop bud. I wasn't expecting it to be so good... I liked the original TR but sold it due to the common issues people brought up. The RKM fixed all that and more—it sounds fucking insane. I'm beyond happy. Have all my money, Joel!

Yeah I'm not much of a tap tempo guy but I think the Tonal Recall really shines in its pitch bending with tap/subdivision changes and, if nothing else, that makes the tap worth playing with.
That said, I tried using it at band rehearsal and doing multiple taps causes weird pitch soup because i believe it only takes the last two taps as the tempo determining interval, whereas Eventide and others (iirc) use averaging across 3 taps which smooths things out. I guess that's hoping to get it both ways though, so

That's hella rad you got a shop you can go buy pedals from and return if you don't end up jiving with it! Or at least one with an Echosystem and a RKM. We don't got that kinda fancy stuff up this stretch of I-35 We have a few shops but none of them do much boutique pedal stuff.

I am curious as to why you wouldn't want a tone control? I understand if you may not use it all that much but isn't it nice to have the option? In other words what benefit is derived from not having one that made you want no tone control? Is it simply you like the looks better?

It's both, I don't ever use tone controls and I like the look of not having it better. I also have a Jag, which is the polar opposite and is cool to play with, but in reality once I get into writing songs I dial in one tone and stick with it usually. Also, I've been playing around with the idea of having a guitar with no controls (single bridge humbucker or dual single coils with a switch) and putting a volume and tone control in a pedal with switches on a board. That way if I wanted one alternate tone, I could dial it in and just hit a switch easily. It's just a matter of taste, my preferences are on a weirdo level with a lot of things, I've made peace with it.

Yep we've got some great ones here—between Austin Guitar House and Austin Vintage Guitars, quite a bit of brands are covered. It's harder to find some of the weirder, more interesting builders like SS/BS, Dr. Sci, Dwarfcraft etc, but hopefully they'll continue to be added. Holler if you're ever down here and we'll go shoppin'!

Calavera's Guitar Boutique has a good selection here in Austin as well including more interesting builders than some of those other places mentioned.

No, only been to the old shop and bought 3 chase bliss pedals there one day. That was the only time i went. I knew they moved but haven't been since.
