Isn't the v2 out now? And I did the 800ms mod, which is cool, although I seldom use the longer delay times.
still on preorder to my knowledge

nshuman, what are the following pedals? :

First pic:

-top row-blue and black pedal, 2nd pedal from the left
-top row-Green Russian-looking pedal
-bottom row-pink pedal with dog on it

P.S.-just noticed we both have almost the same post count, and we joined ILF around the same time

Blue and black is a Dunwich Amps Volt Thrower. It's basically a RAT based pedal with 2 and EQ and clipping options. Probably the best RAT based pedal for bass.

The Green Russian looking pedal is a Broughton Pi. Josh had worked on a good Green Russian original and found quite a few differences from schematics online. Anyway, this is attempt at a no compromise Green Russian with mids adjustments, clipping options, and built-in Buffer buster. AMAZING Muff.

The Pink pedal with the Dog is the Broughton Asure Skiez, an envelope filter (based on the Broughton Joshwah) with an LFO and tap tempo. The two DOGGO eyes are LEDs and the right one matches the LFO speed so it looks like the Dog is winking at you while you play. It was a custom project.

Would you mind telling me more about what you got that SQ doing and what the pros/cons are over the 8 step?

I use the SQ for the following:

-Sending out sequenced CV values to the MoogerFoogers, the MtlAsm YY, and the Moog CP-251. (Could be to have the RingMod/FreqBox change frequency as I play, maybe sync that with the envelope filter, maybe change delay/feedback/LFO amount values on the Delay or Clusterflux, etc.) Basically, all kinds of things there.
-The SQ can also send MIDI messages, so I can use it to play notes on the clusterflux as it goes into self oscillation. Since it is via Midi, I can send the same messages/speed to the MIDI Murf and Delay at the same time to sync a pattern and delay speed.
- Eventually, once all three boards are wired together on the MIDI side, the SQ-1 and 8-Step should be able to also interact with the H9s, BeatBuddy, SA Reflex, Moog MP-201, Minilogue, and a Computer.

SQ VS 8-Step, that's an interesting question.

SQ Pros:
-Smaller footprint, if I put the 8-Step on there, I lose space for 2-3 pedals.
-Can do 16 steps in various chaining schemes of the 2 channels.
-Adjustable voltage.
-SO MANY MORE things that can be tweaked.
-A LOT more CV outs for gate, channel A/B, sync, etc.

8-Step Pros:
-I prefer the sliders, easier to see than the tiny transparent knobs, but they take up more space.
-You can use midi to change presets.
-You can save presets.
-It has footswitches for better pedalboard operation.
-Can be powered by a dc jack.

For me, a sequencer doesn't live in a pb. Inise it with the Montreal assembly stuff and it always affects the pedal even when it's off. I like to use the sq1 as a temporary installation to the board. It's also battery powered!!!

I just unplug it when not using it. I can also fix that with the cv mixer on the CP-251. But, the SQ, even though it doe snot have foot switches, is still more PB friendly. It's just cool and small. In the end, I'm happy I got both.
