Here's a pic of my... snow board!


(that's the stage set of a theater play)
Pretty happy with this, it's getting there. So many sounds there. Still not 100% in love with the Nemesis' basic sound and texture (sounds a bit too clean/digital for me) but it's great for huge synth-like waves.
Love the dirt section (sl drive/HC/141g), it just lacks a bit of grit when I'm simply using a touch of overdrive. I might add a boost or comp in the future.
Currently rebuilding my smaller board...

Semaphore comes after. I dont think I've tried the other way around... I use it as a way to "chop" whatever sound that's coming before it, so it's more handy later in the signal chain.
the freeze comes before the trem too (contrary to what the pic suggests).
There's so much to experiment with pedal order. I use fuzz last in the dirt section, cos using other dirt pedals after was taming the fuzz too much, it was messing with the oscillation, etc... Fuzz last just goes boom when you stomp on it, at least with that rig.
That pedal order is also influenced by what I have to achieve for that play. I also love verb before dirt or before anything actually, but it would have made other things too difficult to solve.

HP > POLY > DMM is like....triforce status. It's otherworldly how well they work together. What's your signal chain?
Mine's: green ringer > harmonic percolator > super fuzz 45 > wah > vol > lflj > polyflange > dmm > deja vibe

Nope, in that spot I prefer to use it for throb/chorus mode. Where it's at is set in vibrato mode for seasick wobble.
I prefer harmonic percolator in front of vibe (in either mode) both to keep the noise floor low and touch response tight.

Huh, for me it doesn't work anywhere but first. But then, I'm a Percolator virgin so what do I know?

Thanks man. For sure I have to dig deeper into that editor, eventhough I'm not sure it can alter the fundamental sound of the pedal that much... The fact remains it does achieve amazing otherwordly sounds, and if I need a more straight forward, "great tone" delay, I have other options.

Sure, I can see that. I'm just saying that you should mess with the high and low freq parameters, as they're pretty powerful and will help with the "digitalness". Plus, the "resonant analog" sound engine sounds a lot better than the analog engine that comes preinstalled (especially if you mess with the distortion and freq parameters).

Oh yeah, I've burnt this resonant analog already into it. I guess I've been a bit lazy ah ah... I'll look into the distortion/freq paramaters, thanks for the tip!

Cool! Nice to see another cat tail around. Love that pedal!
We have the rv-3 in common too! Although I use the cat tail for bass and rv-3 for guitar.
Btw, how's that hummingbird? Choppy enough?

Yeah I got the Cat Tail for bass as well, where it absolutely shines, but just put this board together because my guitar has been gathering dust for a while. I'm still trying to find some preferred settings for it in that context.

Hummingbird is an old favorite. I had a v1 one-knobber a while back and the chop was so deep but that was all it could do. They're a lot more versatile these days.

Really need to drill some holes in that board or something so I can tame all those cables though.
