Didn't really come online that much yesterday, so I had a nice stockpile of super fine lookin boards waiting for me.

That was done with a Fiber laser. They are much more expensive but if you're doing enclosures, they are worth it. It gets down into the actual aluminum or whatever metal you're using. The markings will be there long after the paint is.

There's a risk associated with Strymon's but I was confident enough to handle it.

This totally looks like it could be Eivind's board. Super cool board!Christophe wrote:

Sounds glorious! Many great pairings here.
Super fuzz war: spent a little time with the dipswitches... extremely versatile! It really is a great fuzz, the sound is so mean and fat, and the booster densifies the fuzz in the best way.
The only concern is that "fizz" sound you get when using the boost on its own. No dipswitch will make it go away, it's just there. The fizz is not heard when boost is used in addition to the fuzz of course, and it also disappears when paired with pedals that smooth out the sound (like the WV for instance). Otherwise you get a nasty lofi boost, quite appealing, but this thing cant be used as a standard boost for your overdrive without adding that lofi fizz... The 88 before the super fuzz war is insane...
I think I'm done with it for a while, I must resist the urge to replace the holy grail with an astronaut verb...

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!

Current board is the HM-2 and DOD Death Metal in loop 1 of the LS-2, the Moogerfooger in Loop 2, followed by the Gonkulator into a Gristleizer, into the DD7.
I'm hoping to get some more longer cables to allow everything to flow a little better - trying to keep the LS-2 tidy has been a real pain. I might just buy a true bypass looper for the Moogerfooger and scrap the LS-2 perhaps, I used to have another DOD Death Metal in the chain as well with a really buggy switch hence using the looper to turn all three off and on. But I'm coming to terms that this way I simply can't have two DOD DMs and the HM 2 and the Line Selector all flowing properly. Plus I have the Outer Rings coming, so that will require some movement. So basically this is happening now but definitely going to have some shakeups in the future.

Thanks guys!BitchPudding wrote:Do those micro heads work well for a live setup? I've been eyeballing one forever.
That and a small cab would be a cool rig.

Living in a small flat has pushed me to keep things compact, although I've been starting to think about getting a slightly bigger board (metro 20 or 24?) to fit a few more pedals on (compression, boost, tremolo, etc.) and be able to access cv input of elements, bitquest and ct5...

For now, I'm still trying to find the right signal chain. I just switched ct5 after bitquest to make short looping a little more flexible, but I'm thinking I should have placed it completely last just before the ditto...

I also inverted fuzz and BQ, as I wasn't very convinced how it worked before and since I was recabling everything I thought why not...
I've never used the micro dark in a live setup, but I can imagine with a proper cab it could work pretty well.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
Hey thanks man! Well, Eivind's great fuzz vids definitely ignited gas for the 88. Just like UC's about Seppuku. I've played for the longest time with 5/6 pedals, squeezing the best out of them, constraints-make-u-more-creative king of thing. 4/5 years ago gear-gas struck back with a vengeance. Then I found out about ILF two years ago (as any search on any gear brought ILF results on Google), and this was a major discovery on the gearhunt journey. Best place for our joint addiction.Pete wrote:This totally looks like it could be Eivind's board. Super cool board!Christophe wrote:
