I've spent the last hour or two sifting through youtube vlogs (specifically Social Repose, whose "fame" still confuses me, and related channels) and I just don't fucking get it.

Why do people make these videos all the time talking about their personal lives and their opinions?
It's some weird ultra-narcissism that's supported by a massive crowd of people that have nothing better to do than obsess over other people's weird and pretty boring lives and watch 10-20 minute videos of people running their mouths.

I feel like this belongs in the S/H/R/A/MI thread but this seems like the more relevant thread.

I didn't have my last one that long, just since the second to last time I watched The Nostalgia Critic's review of The Christmas Tree which would be November 2016 at the latest.
