You will see and also hear.

I have just redone my pedalboard which had been perfectly stable for the past year, since upgrading from the PT-2 to the NOVO24, the Voodoo Lab PP2+ to the 4X4 and adding the Strymon Multi to the timeline.

This time, I've switched out the EHX Freeze for the MASF Raptio freeze / glitch pedal. I have also added the Ezhi & Aka Moomindrone that I use as a drone layer generator, the Digiverb which I use for pre-dirt reverb (mostly in reverse mode) and the lovely DRolo Stammen that I got from UglyCasanova as part of this year's secret santa for some more glitch.

The setup now is: Pedaltrain NOVO24, Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 4x4, Gig Rig Distributor

Signal path goes, from guitar to amp :
TC Electronic Polytune Mini Noir → Effectrode PC-2A → Ezhi & Aka Moomindrone → Digitech Digiverb → Infanem 141G → Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh → Catalinbread WIIO → Ernie Ball VP Jr → MASF Raptio → DRolo Stammen → OBNE Black Fountain → OBNE Dark Star → Strymon Timeline → Eventide Space → Boomerang III Phrase Sampler
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

This was my last pedal-board arrangement of the year. Despite the want to decrease size, I have kept it the same. I figured it makes little to no difference, I just need to learn to work with what I have one way or another. So, this year, I'm going to focus on NOT purchasing things and learning to enjoy what I have. My plan is to not buy anything at all. I already committed to one pedal, but that's it man. I think I can do it too. I have like 85 pedals or some shit. I don't need anything else. I can make every sound I want. So, the fuck do I need more shit for? So I can put it on a fucking table and not play with it?

Anyway, here's what I was jamming with.

no more this year huh? It'll be hard to not break that, I think (for you).

Let's make you a rule  if you want to buy one you have to sell 2 first. Then you'd have to consider whether it's worth it, and if it's worth it you'll naturally get rid of some crap :)
For the first time in years though I feel like I can actually commit to not buying. It's an odd thing but it's the way I am. I'm losing the passion for pedals. I've been through this with other "vices" and it usually sticks. I sold off a pretty massive book collection before I got into pedals and before that it was dvd's...and so on. Sigh. I really have issues.

Anyway, I agree with what you're saying.

In fact, I need to sell a few now to justify the one I still have coming in the future. I guess it's 2 technically.

I could see myself selling everything though. I've been known to do that.

Dibs on something or another.

Collections are lost on me. They usually look cool when other people have them though. I just find it so frustrating to have too much and when stuff doesn't get used and I see it as waste. Limitless potential is crippling for my creativity, as anything is possible it seems irrelevant to actually achieving anything.

What is it that you want to achieve, Jwar? Do you have unfulfilled creative aspirations? Are you wanting to fund other things with the excess?
