I like Dragon's Dogma in general but traveling for half an hour only to die and lose all progress of it kinda blows.
It also feels like I never, ever get any sweet loot.

They handled drops in a somewhat problematic way, so getting the sweet loot consistently in DD requires a hearty dose of either questionable gaming ethics or autism.Achtane wrote:I like Dragon's Dogma in general but traveling for half an hour only to die and lose all progress of it kinda blows.

Both, really.

Been playing Death Road to Canada and it's been pretty great so far. It's incredibly random. I just had a play through where my whole team died except the dog and instead of losing, I got to play as the dog, running around with a rusty machete killing zombies

What do you do exactly ? Nice to see other game developers on ILFkralc wrote:ziltoid wrote: And Slay The Spire.I worked on this game, stoked to see an ilfer playing it!

And any plans for a Switch version of that game (might depend on the engine you used, I guess) ?
It looks like something I could enjoy and I have more Switch time than PC time because there's a toddler toddling around at home

I did the music and sound design. As far as I know, console ports are definitely a possibility after early access/the full game is released.oscillateur wrote:What do you do exactly ? Re: The Video Game thread
Oh heck yeah, I'll definitely check that out if a Switch port becomes a thing.
4 weeks in and I'm still in love with the Switch. Hoping for some big things with the online launch in September. The Indie games on Switch are rad (playing Celeste right now and it's fun but very challenging - I had 289 deaths on level 2) and it seems like they've got some good games in development/slated for release soon, but I'm also hoping for some emulation/VC capabilities. There are tons of games I'd like to play or replay for the first time since my childhood, so having a dope N64/GameCube title selection would be my dream & guarantee I'll probably never need another console.

DUDE THAT GAME IS SO GOOD.The youtuber/streamer northernlion led me to it and I've been hooked since.kralc wrote:ziltoid wrote: And Slay The Spire.I worked on this game, stoked to see an ilfer playing it!
The Dominion X roguelike mixture is pretty much drugs. Steam says I've clocked 56 hours in it. I'll probably buy it again on the switch lol.
Also, are you the guy behind the CAW CAWWWW sound? That sound bit just puts a smile on my face every time.

Heck yeah. I'd love to play mario sunshine again. I'm sure the new mario would scratch that itch, but some good memories with sunshine.baremountain wrote: so having a dope N64/GameCube title selection would be my dream & guarantee I'll probably never need another console.
I wish I was! After spending too much time agonizing over the sfx to really make sure I was happy with them (I'm mainly music-y, only other sound design gigs were pretty small stuff) there was no way I was going to stand in front of mic scrutinizing my shitty voice acting. Luckily I met some cool vo people at a games conference so I enlisted Michael Schwalbe and Tamara Ryan to kick ass in that department.ziltoid wrote: Also, are you the guy behind the CAW CAWWWW sound? Re: The Video Game thread
Hope you enjoy BOTW. I'm stalling for the final fight to do everything else. When I start playing I can't put it down. Love this game. Might have to pick up the DLC too.
