What do you use the BiFET for? Goosing the other OD's?Snufkino wrote:Finding myself wanting to actually play guitar more than fuck about with effects, so I'm trying to get things whittled right down. Still got some fancy and useful pedals in the cupboard, and I can roll my own fuzzies any time I want, but anything I'm not using is out of sight, out of mind.

Kind of annoying not having room for fuzz, so I might drop the CE-2, but I think I'd be cutting my nose to spite my face. I need a board that's kind of square shaped. Pedltrains are either too big or too small.
I sold my pedaltrains a while ago and just use pieces of wood... they work well so long as you've got a good way to carry them.
Also, I really like the CE-2's dash of blue on the otherwise black board, especially with the alternate knobs.

I know, but the CE-2 is soooo nice. Maybe I should start putting some purple or pink knobs on things to balance things out.Heraclitus Akimbo wrote: I see blue chorus / and I want it painted black
I actually have a Jr but they're just too big. I'd want to start putting more things on, which defeats the goal of simplifying things. Maybe in time I'll add a couple of things or swap the RV-6 for an RV-500 if I ever get the chance to try one out.Somnambulance wrote: I used a PTJR for a long time, you can do a lot with it like put pedals on it and stuff.
It's more of an "always on" pedal. It evens things out nicely, and I the tone is useful when changing pickup positions. Goosing the Rat with the Electra is where it's at for me. Nothing fancy, just adds a bit of warmth.Bartimaeus wrote: What do you use the BiFET for? Goosing the other OD's?

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!

So yeah, my 666th post turns out a new pedalboard pic. Not too bad, right? :P

Standard me, sort of crappy pic, but yeah, this is what I'm rocking with the band at the moment. Stepped "up" from my previous PT2 to two PT Jr's. Been trying a lot of different dirt pedals but keep coming back to the Hot Cake and Keeley Bd-2 which is what I used on the EP and tour we did a few years ago. One of the main reasons for these two is I've started doing a wet/dry thing running both my Marshall and Vox (previously only used the Vox for this band) and not a lot of the dirts I've tried sound good through both amps for what I'm looking for now.
Otherwise I'm thinking about going to PT Pro and a switcher (switcher? not very ILF, I know! :P) since I'm having to do way too much tap dancing at the moment for some parts. My main con for that would be the size and wieght. I have a bad back and don't drive. But then again, we don't and probably won't be gigging that often anyways and a switcher would really help me focus on (improving) my playing and singing instead.
Been thinking about swapping out the Superdelay for my Ct5 since I'm only using reverse octave up anyways but I don't know. The tap-tempo really helps imo.

Rv-3 early on, RV-5 at the end before Ditto and Procession.

Very cool either way, I would have a ton of RV pedals on my board if I could

RV-5 is the new metalzone! Although the metalzone is just RV-5 in a "cooler" enclosure for the rockers.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!

I'm trying to get a regular board together for this instrumental heavy psych/doom band I'm playing in, this goes CS-2 > Tall Font Russian > V4 Muff > TB Looper into Moogerfooger > Phaser > DD7 but already I'm planning to swap out the phaser for a reverb and maybe make some other changes. I usually use a Flashback x4 instead of the DD7 but I simply can't justify the size when I don't use the looper enough. I came to realize after experimenting with other Muffs that the V4 Op Amp is simply my favorite and I'll just live with it's giant size because nothing ever comes close.
I might keep the phaser and just add a reverb if I can make that work size wise.
My cabling is not quite neat enough and already it's driving me crazy but this is just a rough draft....

Why'd you put the Moog in a TBL?
Don't like the drive/buffer on it?
