Re: The Video Game thread
I played Earthbound for a really long time today. I'm hoping to actually finish this time, the last time I tried it i gave up around the desert.
Maybe afterwards I'll get around to Undertale as well!!

Earthbound is one of those games that I've started at least half a dozen times.. and I've never finished it either.
I've been playing Golf Story on the Switch for the last few days. FUN.

Re: The Video Game thread
Earthbound was one of my favorite games as a kid but I don't think I actually ever beat it. I never actually owned the cartridge so I always used to play it at a friend's place. I'd like to play it front to back some time, but a lot of those old RPGs don't have the same appeal to me as they used to.
Been playing The Swords of Ditto for the past week, it's not bad so far. Just cleared it once, working through some more runs to see what kind of replayability it offers.

This week I've been so tired out all the time that the gentle pace of Earthbound, played mostly one handed with food/drink/phone in the other, has been perfect. Makes me miss playing Pokémon on the tv via super gameboy/Pokémon stadium/game boy player.

I'm back at Destiny 2 for the time being. It's kind of refreshing in a nostalgic way.
Still not perfect but some of the changes to the game in this DLC are a step in the right direction.
Got burnt out on PUBG, rocket league (kinda), and all other games.

OH MY GOD!!!
I am so happy right now, I didn't ever think something like this would happen. I am genuinely going to replay this.

I fucking loved GW1. It had a magic that the sequel failed to capture.
Loved the necromancer class.

Got Persona 5 inbound. $25 new was too good to pass up. Hoping to have the time to devote to it.

Loving the shit out of Prey. All the exploring and collecting of Deus Ex with the freeze and smash of Bioshock.

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

Re: The Video Game thread
I just started playing Prey. I was hesitant as demos made it look like it could be quite boring. I was totally unaware that it was supposed to be a nod to, or spiritual successor to system shock 2.
I loved the bioshock series too. I'm in about 10 hours so far and to me it feels way more SS2 than bioshock did. Somehow they brought some of the depth back which is really hard to do on console games.

I remember why I moved to PC in the early 2010s. I forgot how shit it was to download and then install games on the PS3. It takes aaaaaaaaaagesss to install an 8gb game file.

Had the exact same experience, it's since jumped up to being in my top 10 best games of all time. I don't think we'll be seeing SS3 or even the SS1 remake for at least another five years. Also, there's some Prey DLC coming out soon which involves going to the moon, so there's even more coming if you continue to enjoy it!

Ooo, hadn't heard of Prey and I'm kind of looking for a new game to play. Very intrigued.
