Those dots are really great guitars and awesome for the price, especially if you change out the pickups (and maybe the jack and switch if it needs it). I bet the Lollar kills there. Our other guitarist got the "pro" one for like $330 during some flash sale and I play it over his more expensive Gibsons and Fenders every time I'm over there.

Ok, so this one isn't a cool ILF guitar, but it's probably my favorite right now.
I completely gutted it this weekend and put in all new electronics and hum-cancelling Fralin p90s (it came stock with SD Blackouts which were way too hot and metal-oriented). The Edwards eclipses are very uncommon in the US so I didn't know what to expect, but I'm glad I took the eBay gamble - it sounds and plays like a much more expensive guitar.
JHS knockoff Marauder from the late 70s with some custom work done by a friend. He yanked the hum and single coils out and replace them with 90s he hand wired to replicate 61 SG special pups, changed the nut to a zero glide with zero fret and made that sweet ass ugly pick guard. I love this thing! Plays and sound unholy...
Picked up this Strat a couple of weeks ago, and I'm loving it.
2nd strat I've owned. Been a jumbo fret guy for quite a few years, but the tall narrows on this might make me a convert. It came with 9's, and I'm sticking with them for now. Works well for my bass player hands. The only impediment to shredding is good taste.
For those who say a Strat can't do doom, you're wrong. Add an extra gainy pedal to your board and shut your whore mouth!

Sweet Strat. I've been wanting a Green/black/maple one one for a long time. I'm without a Strat again for a while and craving one again, I might do a parts build. Strats can definitely doom, easily. I have a demo on Soundcloud that I made like 5 years ago w/ my old MIM hardtail conversion Strat doing doomy tones with a Joyo Ultimate drive. Just because someone said they were "too bright" to play heavy stuff. Which isn't true, it can just get brighter easier than a Gibson humbucker loaded type guitar.
