No, now is the time to start shorting stocks that have significantly beaten every expert's predictions over the past year.

What is interesting about this is that I imagine they may not actually truly believe that but wear the shirt to piss off Democrats and "The Left" for a few different reasons: A.) For the joy of it - trolling. B.) To deflect or try and save face. Stick to tribalism and embrace what is similar to other kinds of social/political movements that feed off fervor - Nazism, Communism, The identity based Leftist groups. The identity based Right groups.

Having said that, what I just said doesn't ignore the total idiocy and dangerousness of thinking - and even believing such a thing - in wearing that shirt and saying it as a phrase. The more it is normalized the more it can get a foothold.

And what is funny is that the far Left hates the United States and sees it through the lens and filters of the USA at it's historical - and when it occurs, present - worst. That the USA is irredeemable and should not exist. To eliminate borders - what the far Leftists chant.

So there is the far Left that hates the USA and now there is the far Right that is so entrenched in keeping in power via Trump and his and the far-right identitarians' hold in government, that they are willing to let go of the USA - and embrace Russia - if it means staying in power.

Critical thinking is disappearing and the country is moving further to the Left and Right.

If you voice anything that is against the orthodoxy of the Left, you are labeled a Nazi, white supremacist, etc. If you voice anything against the Trump admin you get labeled with being not conservative, a Rhino, Socialist, or whatever clever labels the right can come up with to slander the person dissenting.

I have no idea who Chris Jackson is, but I agree with every word he wrote. They want to fly a flag for the whole world to see, so I see no reason not to salute it, i.e. I see no evidence for not taking them at face value.

The thing about the horseshoe theory is that if you accept that the far right and the far left are both annoying echo chambers you (should) be able to assess both sides' remaining political positions somewhat critically, since the annoying bleating is a constant and as such can be ignored.

But that doesn't seem to happen very often.
